(Rant on) Wow you guys really are turning into pirate aren't you. Bunch of bullies.
I read OP's opening post and knew this was going to happen. You guys should read it again.
He asked to please not debate the merits of body vs suspension lift as he was happy with the the suspension he currently has., and that he was not going to cut the body.
He also said he knew the required mods needed to add a body lift. Such as cable shifter for trans and t-case, electric fans, custom bumpers.
What's the problem with keeping to the question AS ASKED instead of picking him apart because he wishes to march to a different drummer. (Rant off)
Now to answer @urbex question. I've had 3 different style pucks, 3" octagonal aluminum, 3" round plastic, and 2.5" octagonal plastic. The round ones worked better for me. They were the same shape and size as the body mounts and plates, seamed to provide the best stability.
A few tips I've learned over the years.
Watch the steering coupler it will wear faster (jk steering shaft upgrade may help)
Be sure your body mounts are new or in great shape. (Soft mounts make it harder to line up the body well)
Use the largest diameter/thickest washers that will fit on the core support bolts on top, the bolt heads tend to pull through or distort the thinner metal there.
Lastly, watch the wires going from the firewall to the starter. Even if they have enough slack for the extra lift, they will sit differently and can get into the exhaust.
Good luck, and post up while doing the install with any questions. I'll be happy to help if I can.
