I see you figured it out before I got to it...

I just spoke with Earl. As I suspected, he got my email address wrong.

He said the guy that actually makes them is the same guy that made every one they (Glasstite, Creative Products, Specialty Design) ever sold. He no longer works for them directly, so they sub out some work to him.

He said $525 for the fiberglass panel, and the drawings would be thrown in for free.

I asked if there would be a discount for a run of several pieces. He said, "absolutely", and that he'll work up the numbers for a run of 5, 10, etc, and email them to me tonight. He said the higher cost was due to the fact that this is no longer a regular-production item, and the initial $525 figure was for a "one-off" piece.

I explained to him that CK5 has thousands of members, some as far away as Europe and Asia, and that the site was based around Blazers. I said there was always the possibility of more orders through the site, and that seemed to interest him.

I figure when the time comes to get the ball rolling on this, we could try to get as many interested parties involved as possible to lower the price.

Still... I would rather pay $525 for the glass and diagrams, and supply my own window than pay for a soft top.
Looking to buy one of make one. Thanks for any help
