Bought a C65 gauge cluster

No, it was an engine overspeed warning lamp from the factory. Had no idea what the vehicle speed was.

Okay fellas it's been awhile but I do still have this little side project going on. Well I've been side tracked with the K5 until today when I finally got this cluster put together.

So here you go, bought left temp is for the trans, the one beside it will be for the engine, I switched from a mechanical oil pressure gauge to a electronic, I changed the amp gauge for a volt gauge and changed the speedo for a 79 speedo that just looked better

Yeah I have a 91 cluster I'll eventually swap over to that has a better temp gauge and better matching speedo so everything will match up much better. Only odd ball will be the tach

Oh, thanks for the offer but I prefer the later style font, I know it won't be perfect but it's just going in the tow rig lol

Well it's been a long while but I finished the cluster the other day,

Hard wired all of the gauges and lights, and added 4 more 168 bulbs to help brighten things up.

The bulb sockets were 3.5mm which is the wrong size, that's why they're all epoxied in.

Pretty basic wiring, red is power, black is ground and green is signal for the gauge.

I think when I do the K5 cluster I'll run all the wires on the back side of the cluster instead of behind gauges. It's just trick to remove the gauges the way they are wired now.

So did you sell the vacuum gauge? If not, you should be able to quite easily.

Thanks, I always liked the led idea but I like that this setup is still able to dim down without any led specific dimmer
