just ordered a pair for a 14 blt ff. can you give me a parts list of stuff i need to round up to complete the install. do i need the dually studs? any and all info is greatly apreciated.

Sorry for the wait, I missed this one.

'75 Chev 3/4 ton front caliper and rotor, the rotor and drum are nearly the same thickness so the stock studs are fine.

am guessing from 4x4, right? i don't have either 2wd or 4x4 in front of me to compare. sorry for the q and a but iv never done one, yet. lol.

Yes, from a 4x4. You will also need a set of rubber lines to go from the caliper to the hard lines on the rear axle. I used a set of rubber hoses from the same 75 Chev 4x4 3/4 ton that the rotors and calipers came from.

Thanks for the answer Kenny, I am away from the computer......

most everyday after noon, out in the shop trying new things.......I don't get back to the computer until 8-9pm most evenings......Ah, the joys of small business!

How aboot some front 3/4 ton 10 bolt caliper brackets ?

If you're talking about the factory splash shields/caliper brackets for the 3/4 ton front axle, you can get those from GMpartsdirect for $75 each, shipped.
I can shoot you the part numbers if you need them.

Thats a fair price from the factory......

I will still look into making them though, $50 beats $150!

It's a pretty complex part. It mounts over the six spindle bolts and is a slip fit over the spindle itself. I don't know that it would be worth your while to re-make a factory part but it would be interesting to see what you come up with!

Here's a thread with the part numbers:

And here's a tech article that shows what they look like:

p.s. I'll probably be calling you for a pair of the rear brackets once my 14bff drum brakes are gone. ;)

It may not.....but a challenge is part of the fun.....

It isn't the highest on the priority list either.....

Location: sask.

Probably tied up in Customs. If it was sent with USPS it will take 4-6 weeks.

I may have a few parts in customs......

I know I am being checked out for 2 D44 covers sent to Montreal, I have been sending everything to Canada labeled commercial samples.....OOps!

I will send another pair Monday USPS Express, they are better with customs on express mail. And less expensive.

thanks gravel maker. fedex seems to have better service coming up here with goods. another tip is if its marked "made in USA"....its duty free. looking forward to putting these on, thanks again.

Gotta love customs......

I received 6 packages back thursday from Canadian Customs, actually very quickly, thought it might have been months before I saw them again, no More "samples"......

They are lost with Conway freight from my bender.....

They were diverted to Cheyenne with that big midwest storm and I still haven't seen them, My bender is making another batch while we wait for the first........I do not have luck with Wyoming in the winter. Somehow it dosen't make sense to divert a truck going farther south to the north durring a blizzard? Last year I had 3000lbs with Fedex Freight and the truck was diverted to Wyoming, 10 days later Fedex went looking for their truck, the driver went to a truck stop, had dinner and then a heart attack, it took Fedex 10 days to discover it was missing. But, overall I like Wyoming.....
