budget beater - . . . HOLMES 220 single line boom wrecker install starting ..

800lbs is some serious weight! I have 2 ammo boxes full of sand; each box weighs 120lbs.

she did a LOT better today with the new V2.0 weight unit . the extra added was sure felt and i did a lot more in 2wd today than before .

the plow is like 925-950 lbs on the front . so this basicly zero's out the plow but added bonus of traction .

The plow here for our shop is a 75 K5. When you lift the plow it lowers the front suspension a couple inches before the blade actually comes off the ground. :haha:

This truck has about had it . . . Never played nice from day 1 on 1 part or another . Just crawled under itcand looked for exhaust leak with 15k miles on it since built and stuff if rusted bad . Blown out doughnut . And to top it off the transfer case mount / ord doubler points i am missing a bolt and bushing and the other is loose .

Depending on how much more i find it might not get fixed . I am sick and tired of this thing fighting me all the time .

You’ll fix it.

no . . it will be a bandaid fix till spring then i am going to cut this thing up for parts .

i have had so many hickups / bad parts / broken stupid stuff / and in general me and the truck just never clicked . . .

Not sure what to say. Sell it to someone else and get rid of all the bad juju!?

I dont sell my vehicles . Just not me .
I used to do that. Then I had a collection of parts that was ridiculous. So I sold all the parts cheep when I moved, all the parts were at my mom and dads place.

And now they are worth a fortune!

Not bitter!

Freash gaskets and seals and new motor the correct DCY200R ramsey is now in place . Its a Y-drum = narrow 6" width for this use . Made a new pair of plates to match the 2" narrower winch . I got the correct oils for both the gear box 20w non-detergant 1pint and the 140w worm gear oil 1qrt .

Then today i made a cable tension plate setup . I recycled 2 dana 60 king pin springs for the tension pressure . Did this on a rollback winch were i use to work and the guy running it said that was the best pressure and feed in he ever had on the years he had been running that truck .

Ready to pull the new parts and paint them quick . Then its install for good time to the tower . And feed on my new 100ft of B/A PRODUCTS 3/8" winch cable with swivel clambshell hook . And so i dont forget i already started the safety washer/stopper on the cable cause i dont wish to refeed the cable 2x :doah: :ROLFLMAO: :deal:

other trick if you need a tiny bit is drill the center 2 holes out bigger for some wiggle room . gm tech showed me that years ago .

I'm having trouble picturing what you'd use the "manifold spreader" for.
