He ain't my cousin, we went to tech together. :haha:

Man I wish I didn't have to fly out on Saturday. Looks like I missed a good time.

Now start putting all that chit together! I'll come by and help if you need it once I get out there.

and got the dana 70 over to the gear shop, the g/f dads own the place so the cost for the install was hanging a fan at his home! turned out to be very interesting to get the carrier out! I also welded up the spyder gears and should have it all ready in a day or two and back under the buggy!

other things.. ordered new front seats to replace the current suspension seats, 169 each shipped from offroad overstock

and ordered 4 five point harness's at 54.99 each shipped

as well as ordered some fabricated bling bling valve covers for the big block

at this rate I have a very $$$$$$$ pile of non moving parts:doah:

:haha::haha: isn't that the truth. I'm right there with you. I've got thousands of dollars sitting in a pile with weeds growing around it. I haven't touched the project in months. One of these days though

Yours is looking good though. Can't wait to see the progress

Shawn, I like your coated headers, looks much better than the cheapo rattle can ceramic black that I used on mine...

BTW, are you keeping those old suspension seats?

also decided to not do a 3 link panhard set up, I will just run a double triagulated 4 link now, uppers will be 1.5 250 wall dom sleaved with 120 wall 1 3/4" chromo tube, upper frame mounts will have 2 mounting options as well for adjustment.

also nate and I gt he big block running, the pro injection has some nice throttle responce! I had to sort out a few bugs, loaded the hell out of the motor with fuel so she was smokey! also got the wiring and guages finished, went through and did all the connectors and used heat shrink on them..wow lots of work!

This is the one on my brothers 70HD

Except Shawn's will be much slower without all those speed holes. ;) BTW, nice work and that BB sounds sweet. :D

just tell him to by the crane or dedenbar knuckles fo his front 60, and then put the "c" and the knuckle from the front on the rear axel, thats my thoughts, but I could see myself braking that, so I would just do dedenbar all over

darn!

great minds think alike?:p: i think mine is a little wider and more beef though, I do like his speed holes..i want to get a nice hole saw but I want one that will last..ideas? looks like he used 3/16?? mine is 3/8 so I need a good bit and alot of cutting oil!
I believe its 1/4 plate. Three plates total. The front and back plates were waterjet cut from cardboard templates my bro made. He originally designed it to fit between the old spring perches (was going to use perches as bumpstop contacts)

But the top plate was made a little too long, so he ended up cutting off the perches. The hole saw he used was from mac tools. I dont have pics of it now, but he welded tubes in the holes, so water cant get inside the truss.

He is now thinking of selling the axle and going with a rear steer axle. The 4x4 shop we work next to just started building custom axles. One of the employees just made front and rear steer axles fo his rubicon using currie center sections and the tubes from solid axle
