CA guys! Blazerfest 10- Hollister Hills, CA July 17,18,19... BE THERE!

All my passengers are showing up on Saturday so I'll have a seat open on Friday afternoon or be available to spot someone else as well.

Is there a trail guide for HH that doesn't cost anything online?

Not that I could find.I have a map somewhere I think.

Any of us who have been there alot can tell you where to go based on your experiance and what you dont want to happen to your rig :D

We wont steer ya wrong :D

Just be weary of low hanging trees:haha:

Your incident on the Jungle trail or mine when Beater pulled me through a tree at the top of Tank Trap?

I saw the tree comming, but the harder I pushed the brakes the harder he pulled :haha:

Yours was worse.I got off easy.We went to Dans to pick up the RTI ramp and he had a good used windshield layin in his front yard that he let me have :haha:

I was more chuckling at myself, but trees to seem to be a common thread out there.

It just kind of nudged me in the right direction anyways, so I look at it as a good thing.

Any pictures of said low hanging tree incidents? :)

That just wasnt your day. What ever happened to the pics of me yanking you out of that monster rut at the bottom of the trail you drove into :haha:

I guess I could ask this question on the other forum, but what's the poker run? I assume it's just a bunch of fun obstacles to watch people go through, but is there likely to be time after that for other stuff before the BBQ?

I ask because my extra passengers will only be there for the day and I want to make sure they get to have some fun.

I was wondering the same thing. What is the poker run exactly?

As you suspected it is an obstacle course and depending on how well you do at each station depends on how many cards you get. At the end the person with the best hand wins.

There is plenty of time after this event to do other things before dinner. Dinner doesn't usually happen until aroud 7:00-7:30pm

Oh that was just hilarious. Following Kristen, following Kristen, oh she's turning tighter than I am, oh well it's not that much. Hrm, there's seems to be a hole there...

Don't have the pic on this comp, I'll check back at home.

Scott got it, it usually starts around 10-11 and last a few hours. Then we typically go run Tank and somebody breaks and we spend all afternoon hanging out in the canyon. You guys are going to need to figure out who else isn't allergic to poison oak. I'm actually taking my rig through this year so I can't run your winch lines up into the trees up top:D

:eek1::eek1::eek1::eek1::eek1: What?!!!

Ugh, as someone who is extremely allergic to poison oak, I would rather drive my k5 through tank trap with no tires than get even a little bit of that stuff on me. I'm not even kidding!

You had better be careful out there this weekend then. Stay out of all the brush as Hollister Hills is littered with the stuff. Members who are allergic always joke about how this is their yearly dose of the stuff.

I've got no problem running winch line for those who are allergic, but it would be more convenient if we found a rider to do it or if nobody broke or got stuck:haha:

I can already tell this is going to be a memorable experience...:haha:

Maybe I can bring one of those white whole body painters outfits and just throw it away afterwards...
