I love not having inner fenders. One of the best mods I have done:D

I used to use the bumper in the last pic but now it looks like this

Front bumper or I sit in the engine bay with my feet next to the headers resting on the frame and an old seat cushion under my butt. I'm only 22 but I'm large and old cushions always come in handy!

pallets! they work everytime and if you have enough you can make a pretty long platform that wraps around the truck:wink1:

I've stood on the tires, and the bumper but mine is easy to slip off of. For about a week I had a set of prefabbed stairs to go on a house, just 3 steps. It was awesome. Today I just backed my S-10 up to it and dropped the tailgate. It works pretty good.

I just installed my dual wheel 60 front. with my 42" TSL's they make a perfect place to stand on where before with my 44 it was a PITA to balance on.

Well, I'm not fat, but I usually stand on the tire or sit inside the engine compartment cause it's so damn big! I want to find the maker of the stands that sit on the tire and are held in place by straps. Any clues?

I'm thinking JC Whitney...Ill look into some catalogs tomorrow night if no one else knows. :dunno:

I've thought about building a wrap around deck or platform to pull my K5 in.

These are great ideas! To bad I don't have a house...I know where I can get as many pallets as I want, every time this bike shop get a few bike in they advertise in the paper to "come an get um" .

I have one of these...

sometimes i back my girlfriends 2wd ranger up to my truck, and stand on her tailgate...perfect height IMO. or i just kinda sit in the engine bay.

Around 200. But I got mine as a Christmas gift from my parents a few years ago. They got it on a special and it came with a height adjustable, rolling, tool/work tray too.

I grab a small step stool that I can kick around when my hands are full. If I get to the side of the truck I step up from the stool to the tires, but they're only 35's. If I'm deep in the engine compartment, I usually perch on the fender with my feet down on the frame.

That topside creeper is awesome. It'd be one more thing to fill up my shed, but if I could fab a drink holder to it, I might just have to buy it. I hate hanging my feet off the side feeling around for the step stool. That's a freakin' workout.

x2 on all accounts:D

I use an old Wal-Mart swimming pool ladder from the kids pool. Pool got a hole in it and I got the ladder. Works pretty good for me.

before I removed the inner fenders I would sit on the rad support with my legs in the engine bay. now I stand in the wheelwell or climb in and sit on the inside edge of the tire. Thats how I swapped headers last time. I don't even open the hood to check stuff anymore. just lean in the wheelwell.

I have a two-step stool that I use. But I still end up sitting on the fenders with my feet on the frame most of the time.

Tire or front bumper. I used some anti-slip strips from a boat store to keep from falling off.
