Looks good, I've got a softspot for 3rd gens though. My "first love" was a 1989 Iroc Z, I keep telling my wife a 3rd gen with an LS1 is my next project.

Very nice.

Whos blazer? Looks much too clean and stock for you guys :D

My first car was '73 split bumper. Spent a year on it with my Dad turnin' wrenches. That was 27 years ago. Took it to the local 1/8 mile drag strip on the weekends. Drag slicks stickin' out of the trunk. Bungy cords holding them in for the trip, small tool box in the back seat. Uncorked the exhaust and ran the track over and over again, until we were worried about having enough gas to get back to the nearest town. What a blast!

Very nice.

It's an R and D rig. Will probably never see the road again.

So, it's an 82-84 based on the nose, sport coupe, does it have an engine and is it still a V6? Very clean, I wish my 83 was that clean, I am going to have a bunch of rust work when I get the Blazer finished up. Sweet little car, but I do have a soft spot for the 3rd gens, and the early 3rd gens in particular. That nose had a bit more personality than the later versions.

1984 I believe. No engine or trans currently. Somebody had already swapped in a 350 but did not come with the car.

It is in pretty good shape. Funny part is, I don't need very much of it. I don't need any of the interior. Don't need the glass, doors, front fenders, front inner fenders, hood, nose cone, hatch back, rear axle, any suspension component or any of the head light stuff and tail light stuff except for tail light lenses.

Probably shorter to say what I will keep.:D

allout drag car then?
the wall looks nice Kert!

Yeah, everybody should have a go fast toy too. Probably take me two lifetimes to put it together but ya know.... Maybe my kid can take it down the 1/4 mile some day.

Wall.... That's another story. Mission accomplished, however, when it came down to it, they took quite a few short cuts towards the end of the job and got pretty sloppy. They undercut themselves with their quote pretty badly. What needs attention from here on out, I think we can handle. Water is sealed out and that was the goal. Hope to have new gutters up by the end of the month.

Dude, I wish I was closer! I'd bring you a good canidate for a drag car w/o a title and all that to swap you for! That looks like nice car to take apart like that. Have fun though! :waytogo:

Couldn't trade. Given to me by my brother and all, wouldn't be right.

Post your pics!

Ok, if that is the case what about pulling that steel bumper reinforcement? :haha: That is the last component I need to finish putting mine back together, then I can buy new tires. I already have the rubber bumper cover, new signal lenses, and a few other components, but that steel bumper portion is still missing.

Still seems like a nice base point to start from if you are wanting a pure go fast car. Mine is running only because I was able to get the 350 in it to run, if I hadn't I would have likely sidelined the project until I could do the engine and trans I want.

That piece is available, i'll pm you about that.

It is a nice place to start with very little cancer.

I've got a thread on here about two of our cars. In this forum titled Camaros! :waytogo:

that would be right up your alley Kert...same bodies!

I'll check that thead out. Thanks!

Stick the camaro body on the Blazer frame!

For shame!:doah:

My brother was over tonight and we started stripping the guts out so he can get what he needs from it. Spent about an hour on it and had 90% of the interior removed.

I was lucky enough to jump in on the passenger side and recovered about $8.00 in change under the seat.:woot:
