My brother has gotten it pretty stripped down. Only thing left that he wants off the car is the wheels.

Never to see the street again.

it must be nice to work on a camaro in a garage, instead of an 8 foot tall blazer....
nice car man, i like it.

get the slicks shipping figured out?

I'll be watching this one with great anticipation!!!!

this should be cwazy!

Not much left of it now! Wow, quick job stripping it down. That floor makes me a bit jealous seeing no rust and knowing there is some on my floors.

Still a bit of removal to do before I can say its stripped. Rear axle and all rear suspension will come out. Fuel tank has to come out. The entire floor will be cut out including sub frames and firewall forward will get chopped off. Factory firewall will be removed and a new one put in 8" or so rearward of where the factory one is. OH and the tail lights will get gutted out and the lenses put back on.:D

Currently debating whether or not I want to got to the work of a chromoly chassis or stick with mild steel.

I could do the mild steel much quicker which in the end may be the biggest deciding factor.

Go chromoly Now cause by the time the motor your gonna want comes along you'll need it to step into the next race class:whistle::waytogo:

probably right about that. I damn sure don't/won't build it twice. You can make that argument for mild steel as well. Most Chomoly chassis are only used a certain number of seasons without major rework of some kind. As far as certifications for chassis go, you can get either one certified for any of the classes I would ever be in.

I'll probably do the chromo

I would have a BBC, Th400 in it already, rear? Idk what I would do. Maybe a 14 bolt? JK.

I could easily see a big cadillac mill finding its way under the hood given the other toys in the mix:rolleyes: I cant wait to see:popcorn:

I do happen to have some big cadillac stuff around that could work well.

I know you think a caddy is the cats pjs but nothing sounds as great as a bbc turning 8k. I don't really like a 9" but it would be fine. My 12 bolt is still living at 10.30s.

I like the BBC as well. Helping my brother put one in his car. Just so happens I have a BBCAD. Alot of fixens to go with it as well. They sound pretty good at 8k as well.:thumb:

We're getting down to what is worthy of the 1/4 mile.

Maybe 300 lbs. to chop out yet.:D
