Camper Special K20/ Lots Of Pictures

my 78 has a cat and everything emmisions related. its from ca though.

I Think its to rough to restore there is not a strieght body panel on it. it looks good in pics but the body is beat to hell
 
Really nice guy, i asked whats a good resturant to eat at, he recomended a place just out side of town. i got there ordered and the waitress said that he called and said he was paying for our meal.:eek1:
 
Well everyone here is the game plan i am going to call the DMV:eek: tomorrow see if i need cats, and go down to the local glass place and get an estimate. if i dont need cats that truck will be mine:deal:

just buy the truck! its a nice truck! and u can always buy a high flow cats at auto parts store for 80 bucks i think, and make it work with ur exhaust sys. my 80 gmc doesnt have cats. used to but my inspection guy is my good friend! and my 03 silverado's cat is hollow..:whistle: :wink1:

the system is soild but rusty

its one hell of a drive though a 120 miles almost to Iowa

dang.. 120 miles.. my 80 gmc wont even go that far.. 95 miles at max... damn my 80 gmc is def a gas hog!:(
 
thats not bad. in the winter when i was drivin the 80 gmc i worked 98 miles away.. i had to put 50 in the truck at home gas station. the when im ALMOST to work i had to put another 50 in for the way home.. but thats with the leaky fuel pump that i found while building the truck.. i didnt smell gas.. oh well, hope its better.. i doubt it..:rolleyes:
 
i am glad i dont have to drive my blazer over that way plus drive the truck back probaly would cost $250-$300:crazy:
 
my friend called me and say he has a chrome dimond plate tool box he would sell me for $125. not bad
 
I thought the camper specials also had power steering fluid cooler and maybe oil cooler. Better radiator also. And yeah, better brakes/suspension.

thats why i am glad i only live a mile away from school.
 
by the way it has dual tank with skid plates:D . i am assuming 17 gal tanks, correct?

14bff, they didn't produce the 14bsf until later.
Fuel tanks are 20gal per side.

No engine compartment shots???
