can some one explane a tbi power charger

its sopose to smooth airflow into the throttle body which is sopose to increase power. save ur money for a head/cam/intake swap they see the most gains.

Yeah the ad removes 43.99+ shipping from your wallet. The filter is still above it and that is where the restriction comes from. That and the injectors are right in the air path on a TBI engine.

Ah, the doubters....

Best mod you'll do for a TBI... It works.. More notable gain than any spacer, etc...

i dont doubt it. id rather go ahead and get the power i want for 2K instead of b/s and buy 2K in bolt ons and still not have the power i want

Well, now your being silly..

Obviously changing the internals will give you the best base to build power from.. But your also exagerating HUGE on comparing the price of tbi bolt-ons to a topend rebuild..

I got the whole package, new tb, spacers, charger, etc for about $500... In my case, it was worth it cuz my tb was shot...

internals of a 350 are fine. its the heads the intake and the cam that needs to be changed to see a real power increase. a set of head to give u a bolt on 40+ hp can be had for $800 (mainly bigger valves, a better combustion chamber, and a smaller chamber to raise the compression a bit) and thats not including doing a lill port and polishing. a nice dual plane intake manifold can be had for $300, and a nice and healthy cam is $200. Ive gotta know how to pick your parts and what not. its all about volumetric efficency. throttle body spacers are a joke. unless u have some dyno proof they work i wont use one on a 350. ive heard of them being used on jeeps and the way their intake manifold is laid out it shows gains of 5 rwhp. you barely feel that.

First of all, I've put together dozens of motors, you don't have to explain to me the workings of a gas motor.. or how to properly match components..

and ummm, a cam is internals... ;)

all i'm saying is, it's a good bolt on... Your comparing apples to oranges.. make one out of a $5 salad bowl for all i care, it's still an effective mod...

a cam, even though a 350 is a cam in block design, i dont feel like its and internal part. being that u dont have to pull the engine to change it. take the top off the motor move the radiator and the grille and bam u gotta cam change. and im just trying to keep the guy from spending money on parts that arent gonna do what hes hoping for(i assume gobs of power).

OK guys I'm getting about 1000 buck soon and i want some bolt in power or my 350sm what do u guys recommend its stock tbi center bolt valve covers if that helps now what should i get?

what it will actually do is remove that silly ass spacer that sits on top of the TB and open up the entire underside of your factory air cleaner, providing a smoother flow of incoming air, into the throttle body and AROUND the injectors.

think about it... which is easier to get water into a gallon jug... a tube (resembling a stock TB aircleaner spacer) or a funnel (the powercharger). it doesnt take a genius to figure that one out.

well if that's the case, there is nothing you can do to a small block Chevy in a K truck that is an "internal mod" the crankshaft will come out past the front diff no problem. :deal:
