I will be there. I need u-joints on the rear d/s and wheel bearings and races in the front before i can wheel though and I hope to have the TPI in by then too. Anyone got a 4 inch lift and some 35's i could borrow for a weekend? LOL

I dont have much that would be benaficial to camping.
Do you want to have a put luck type dinner or a BBQ?
Are we going to have a clean-up as well?

You can count my son and I in on the action. Glad to hear a date on it and we should have nothing going on then . Hopefully we'll get a full day of wheeling and wont have to travel 3 hours just to turn around due to bad weather.

Dallas isn't that far.. Derf is coming down from Abilene.. and FourwheelerJeff is coming down from Fort Worth..
Looking like it's going to be a good turnout.

Hey Charles, I wanna go!!!

I'm planning a ski trip sometime in Feb, but not sure on the dates yet. I will keep this weekend clear for the slab run, and just have to go skiing another week

Re: Central Texas Slab Run: Feb 15-17th

I'd like to make it, but I don't think I'll have my lift and 1 ton conversion done by then. Would it be possible for me to bring my 2WD truck and my four wheeler just to ride around and watch, or do you have to 'wheel to get from one point to the next?

Shouldn't it be called uncommon sense?

Re: Central Texas Slab Run: Feb 15-17th

we can drop your truck off in kingsland somewhere, and haul the quad down to the river. in a 2wd, you can usually get about ten feet off the pavement before the sand arrests your forward momentum.

some folks leave tow rigs there at the shoulder of the road overnight, but it's kindofa gathering spot for the yokels ( river folk ) and i'd hesitate to leave my stuff there.....
