There is no "chunk" like in a Toyota or Ford 9" diff. All of the diff parts are integral to the axle housing so the work has to be done inside of the housing.
My boss has a race truck, I borrowed his axle stand (4x4's with 2x4 bracing) when I did my axle.
It was my first, so I had to redo it several times. It was great having at a comfortable working hieght.
what did you have to redo? like i said, i have only fooled with yota and samurai axels b 4, and i jus swapped chunks and gears with them. I would like to learn how to work on these dana's, but i dont know if i want to go playing with something I drive every day or so............
Did you set up gears on the toy and sami axles?
