just wondering if they had a stand alone ecu & harness that would work with my performer multi point unit...

I found this....:eek1::eek1::eek1: linky :doah::doah:

I know software can be expensive, but this is ridiculous!

Its an upgrade kit for their older pro flo system....

When I received my CK5 2011 Calendar there is a slogan on the front cover, "Built not Bought". I'm sure many CK5 members know that I can build myself an EFI system. I know not every CK5 member is capable of building their own EFI system. I have a broad automotive skill set, but I am not very capable welding something together that will work for very long or even work at all.:doah:

For a budget choice, I would recommend looking at Larry's Electric TPI/ECM/PROM/Harness package;
http://www.larryselectricsite.com/storefront/viewitem.php?groupid=0&productid=2 The $375 stand alone kit is in my opinion, is the best stand alone system for the $$$ option for an Edelbrock Multi-Point reto-fit engine management system.

I hear ya

I lost my dam '727 ecm when we moved last spring. I've been looking on ebay, they've been pretty rare. I was coming up with a plan "c"...plan "b" is going as Edelbrock intended, using the 747 tbi ecm and integrating their harness...

If you recall, you directed me to Larry's Electric earlier for a prom for the 727 ecm...I (still) have the Edelbrock 3505 tbi-multipoint conversion unit...I was getting stoked...till I lost the dam ecm....:doah::doah:

727 is the waterproof Corvette TPI ecm....IIRC, it was the latest and greatest before the LT1 came along.

Cool!!

these guys have 18 avaiable....:waytogo:

what the deal on 727 computer for a nobb on this stuff ? and what thay come in ?
Corvette underhood weather and heat proof 1227727 ECM is identical to the 1227730 that is not built for under hood but to be mounted inside the car like the TBI units that come in trucks that this website covers. Plugs at the ECM are differant. But the chip/memcal will plug into each.

Now there is a 1227727 underhood ECM that came in bazillion cars with MPFI like V6s and I think even a TBI model. But as Dave pointed out to me the V8 Corvette ECM has a couple extra wires from ECM then the bazillion V6 ones but I have not looked into what these extra few wires are for yet...

I looked at that link and they are misrepresenting the 727 IMO as pointed out in my above post...

so...how do I know which one is the "correct" one? Look for extra connectors?

well, now I have a headache...research sucks! (sometimes)

after some thought, I will just get the 730 from Larry's, as I need an ecm anyway....:waytogo:

I've got a Corvette one (no chip/memcal) I would let go of... but if you need to buy a harness anyway and don't HAVE to mount underhood then that's the route I would go.

yeah, I don't really want to use the 22 year old original TBI harness with a brandy new motor...:whistle:

I learned something today....while watching the game...and the Punisher....and The Lord Of The Rings..being scizophrenic comes in handy sometimes! :haha::D

22 year old harness wouldn't bother me as I have rewied a lot of them recently and they were either like new or thrashed by someone looking for something with an icepick (test light)! But the quality of materials used along with weatherpak conectors was a huge improvement from, say, 70's cars and trucks.

Truthfully! I'm not trying to sell an ECM!

If you end up buying a harness I may buy your old one, always looking for harness's

I'm pretty sure I'll be buying a new one. When I do I'll just send it to you...

Well we will work something out if you put it that way! :whistle:

I'll buy it, or chip you, your to far to do a hands on, but after a datalkog a final chip... whatever... I'm easy as long as your fair! :waytogo:

lol!

fat, dumb, and fair...That's me....:haha::haha::haha:

hehehe I'm the gorilla with the ukulele...:D

Larry's Electric might still be willing to build the TPI/ECM/PROM/Harness kit for the '7727 for a few extra $$.:dunno: They used to have the '7727 kit as an upgrade option TPI/ECM/PROM/Harness kit.

The problem with the '7727 is replacement connector parts, Delphi has discontinued production of some of the plastic connector parts.
