Chevy's in the wild

A few of NVRENUF’s buddies cars out in the great state of Texas ( I lived in Texas for a year when I was young and we were actually taught in school to always address the state of Texas as “The GREAT State of Texas” ! ).

@tarussell not sure if you knew but Ed (the friend with those cars) used to be on CK5, his user name was “Spicer”. He dropped off of all social media a few years ago.

@tarussell I love those stuck pics of the Blazer! You cannot appreciate what that was like from the pic, that thing was STUCK. Those 44’s dug straight down so fast and everything we did just made it go deeper. I remember David (user “Ratzilla”, the previous owner) standing next to it and the water was just ankle deep. :eek1:

Maybe Ed will see his Burb and post up.

Always liked his Suburban!

It was A LOT of effort to get him out that day - which turned into night.

NVRENUF’s old K-10 when it was a deep pit mud racer.
Had a very nice roller BBC, 1050 Dominator, JW TH400 3,400 stall, 205, D60/14B T/L&D/L w/ 5.13’s.
He became King of the Deep Pit for most of the 90’s with that truck.

“We” owned that pit because of your motor.

Those were great times. I should have kept that truck instead of chucking it for the Blazer.

Damn that thing WAS A BLAST to drive !

I’ll never forget when you swapped back to a 4-spd. and were still able to roll into it and slide that thing from end to end on the streets.
I still don’t k own how you did not end up in that ditch coming out of Jones’ Swamp - it impressed everyone behind and in front of you!
Good times

As John always puts it - “That’s a lot of 90’s testosterone right there”.

The 83 K-3500 was mine with a 454, 465/205, 4.56’s D/L on six 38” TSL’s.

The middle K-10 was a buddy of ours ( and ex race truck that had a hot 427, 350/203, D60/70 ) and we set him up with a mild 454, 465/205 ( McCloed dual-disc clutch ) 6.17’s D/L’s frt/rear and 1410 shafts ( we were prowd of that in the 90’s ).

And John’s truck was the nastiest of them all by far!
Out of the picture was three more big Chevys all with BBC’s and 1-Ton running gear - it was a lot of chest beat’n goin on that day.
