Went to the grudge drags at Portland International Raceway last night with my boy and his friend for the first time. Pretty cheap and entertaining, plus the racers who wanted to could immediately get back in line and make as many passes as they wanted. Pretty small crowd in both the pits and the stands, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Lots of testing and tuning going on.
Here are a few Chevies
This Caprice was turning 11s or 12s and sounded real nice. Might have inspired me a bit to get mine back together
This SS has been rebadged as a Holden. It was in the 11s I want to say.
This Chevelle was having traction problems, but kept at it. Saw him go down the track idk how many times. But it was a lot. Sounded great!
Oh man, this Camaro sounded tough. Unfortunately he let off shortly after a mean launch and put it back on the truck afterwards. Not sure if it was just a flat tire or something else, but would have loved to see him run more passes.
This K5 had a few custom features
Most notably, a custom half cab enclosure
Might need a new layer of varnish on that plywood, cowboy
But he has himself a nice little pickemup truck now
Couldn't see much from the interior, but it looks like sheetmetal.

Here he goes again!
The end
