I was wondering if a set of Chrommoly shafts for my dana 44 would work for running a 36 irok, I already have the 44 with ARB locker and 4.88 gears. Just don't tell me to run a Dana 60, because they are around $850 to $1000. around here and still need to be totally gone thru which is another $800. So how big of a tire can I run on a set of Superior 4340 chromoly front axle shaftsand be safe.

Got yukons with superjoints in them I'd be willing to part with. Sell them for what I bought em for, they're the strongest shafts you can get for a dana 44.

Jess got his 60 for $150.00 Michael.a local junkyard. he has the guy watching out for one for yours truely.:D i still say hang on for a 60 brother.sell your ARB when you get it and go from there.and i thought i was storing a blazer for ya? PS... Stomis,i miss your avitar bro.

Lol thanks. I'm waiting on my next check and buying christmas gifts to re-register :D

no meth just chemistry, How long did it take him to find a 60 boggerless, besides If it was that easy to find and that cheap I would have had one dude.........

his friend works there. and he sells chit before the yard opens,so cheap.. i have seen that rig before and you have a new trailer??that ain't the one we pulled your bed off of.:laugh:sweet!

IMO I wouldnt go upgrading to a 60 when you've got money into an ARB for the 44. especially with 36s. I run 36s locked front and rear and havent had any trouble.

what kind of axle shafts are you running Stomis, I have already broken two stubs and one inner plus two hubs from milemarker.

I havent run them yet. I bought them and had priorities over working on the truck so I bought a beater. They havent even been installed, theyre sitting in my storage room.

They're Yukon inners and stubs, with Superjoints which are the strongest U joints you can buy. I think new they are $300 a piece for the u joints or something ridiculous. Its suppose to be the strongest shaft combo you can get for a dana 44.

As I said I'd be willing to parts with them for what I paid if your interested.

just got off the phone with Chris. he traded flat tops bronco for 5 ton rockwells!!i'll get pics this weekend. the rear is a dually.;) he is putting them under the Dodge.he still has to go back and get the rims and stuff, he told me the rims are chrome! too 1980,s.but the tire,s measure a litte bit more than 44 inches.Kevin is gonna let him borrow his extra set of 52,s. this should be fun....:D

My brother runs chromos and ctms in his 44 with a well built 327 and 37s. Only problem is he blew up his limited slip which in turn chewed up his ring and pinion, I dont recall which limited slip he runs.
