CK5 VENDOR ALERT! - 1.25" Thick Wheel Spacers - 8 x 6.5" (Straight Through Holes)

The appear to have been media blasted to me. :dunno:

Ive never seen anything blasted come out like that. It usually looks like clear ano on 6061. I suppose its possible that the vendors prototype set were steel being that its cheaper to try. The way the oil looks on the surface is the same as mild.

I guess it doesnt matter. too bad they arent steel

Well, and the product name given is "Stahl Steel", so one might blithely assume it's, you know, made out of, I donno, steel. :D

don't think I would trust the adaptors in aluminum with the hub centric lip on the outside .

as I have seen them in steel from my first link posted and there not to thick for the clearance to the drw hub body . so if aluminum and lip cut on them I just don't like that

I'm a machinist and would knock this out for ya' but obviously proximity is an issue here.

Couple of options...

There is a good area of the Pirate vendor section that is for bidding on jobs. There's quite a few machine shops in there that might be in your neck of the woods.

OR

I'd be your own "middle man". :)
We have a huge steel supplier locally who has a "plate processing machine". I quoted it because that's the exact phrase you need to call around and ask for. It'll plasma cut as well as drill holes. It's crazy cheap for them to make things that are flat and in our case the material cost is miniscule because it hasn't been marked up twice like when you get it from a machine shop or online vendor as they are the local material provider.
They could drill the bolt pattern and cut it out.

Then you can take them to any ol' machine shop and have them take a skim cut off the outside and finish bore the center to your specs.

Greg if you search on desert Rangers there is a guy Scott he races a class 8 Chevy with the 14b Ff and he uses a hub centric spacer, he also has some seriously good info for the 14 bolt in the high speed applications and needed to make custom hubs because the bearing nut would not stay tight. He moved the hub flange outboard a bit I believe.

He has a thread on RDC too :pimp:

I doubt they are a vendor but I had really good luck and 3 day turn around on some custom spacers from motorsport-tech.com. I drilled a set of unit bearings from 8x6.5 to 6x5.5 and needed a small spacer to keep my wheels hub centric. They said no problem and 3 days/$95 later I had them in hand. I'm local, but they ship too. Give em a call
