Sold Cleaning Time (Round II)

I'll make sure to inventory them when they get here and let you know what I got. Hopefully everything you put in them.

It depends on how the mail man delivers it too. My normal mail man, that I know by name, waits until he sees my trucks and knows I'm home and hand delivers. When he's off it's hit and miss. I've had ones (not just USPS too) who literally throw the packages up the front walk:angry1:.

I understand it's hot out or you've got a tight schedule, but come on.

I've got one of those stupid community boxes. And seems like once a week I get my neighbors mail in my box.

You has Detroit?

Yessir, I have a 14BFF Detroit installed in my K5. I'm planning on selling the K5 at the end of camping season and figured the Detroit would be worth more on the market than it is inside the truck. I'm still not sure whether I want the Detroit or the G80 for the camping Suburban. Looking at your desire to upgrade maybe I'm better off keeping it.

If you're going to do crazy trails in the camping burb, the Detroit would be a good idea, but if not the G80 would likely be better. The trail I did on the 4th (Mineral Basin) is a 7-9 rated trail, according to those guys that I linked, but according to Red Rock Wheelers it's a 3.5 of 5, so fairly difficult, only on such a trail has my G80 shown its weakness, and since the Yukon is going to be more of a crazy wheeler than a highway hauler, I need a better locker.

No, this rig is for road trips and camping. I have no complaints about the street manners that the K5 has right now, the Detroit has been fine. But a G80 has been my goal all along.

This rock climb is about as crazy as I'm likely to see, and I'm pretty sure open axles would have handled it fine. But Zim makes everything look easy. :haha:

I've learned that if you really need the G80 to engage on a trail and it won't (because you're like me and don't want to break parts) you can shift into 2wd, spin it until it locks, shift back to low range and do your thing. So I think my G80 will suit you better and your Detroit will do me better.

PM sent!

I haven't driven a G80 before, are you saying it will stay locked during the shift into low range? I thought it released as soon as the speeds equalized. :dunno:
