ok, so i got the center console installed and wired up. now i gotta wire the switches to the actual accessories. i like the switches tho - they have a nice little green light so you know they're on, but aren't super bright so that they'll bug you at nite. i'll snap a nite shot later.
i also picked up a headlight relay kit today too.

$20 at the parts store, has everything i need. i'm going to wire it up before i get the truck on the road again.
in addition, i fixed my passenger side ball joint issues, installed my new driver's side seat and completely rebuilt my steering column today! i guess i accomplished more than i thought i'd done.... i was feeling discouraged, but after typing this, i'm feeling pretty good.
anyway, school me on line locks! i went to go buy one today so that i can have a parking brake on the trail - so i don't have to shut my rig down and leave it in gear every time i want to hop out. the dude said that i shouldn't leave it on for more than 2 minutes or so, because it would burn up the solenoid due to all the pressure in the system.
someone tell me realistically how long i can leave it on, please. i can see myself wanting to jump out for about 5 min or so every once and a while to walk around a bit. any longer than 5 min, i probably would be on flat ground or i'd just shut it off.
thoughts?
