Cost of Dana 60 front, rant

For what "everyone" wants for them. I can buy all the cool parts and weld it together myself.
The cheapest D60 I found on carpart.com, is $750+shipping.
Then, its still a D60, that needs rebuilding, with bunch of spendy parts to make it worth owning.

If that's the case, I want the Ford 9inch center section, with Reid Racing inners/outer, spool, and an Iron carrier.

What is the answer? I don't know.

It was a bitch post about everyone wanting pretty penny prices, for the half-baked, dogshit, Dana 60F's.
Now, it some Frankenstein P30 parts thread, don't misunderstand, I don't care what happens to the post. I'm just not happy about the state of Dana 60F's and why almost everyone thinks, they are made of gold.

and, for the record. As soon as sweetK30 was serious about selling one, it immediately went to PM's like it is supposed to, correct?

It is a Monroe converted 1994 3500HD. The front axle is a Dana 70B. The rear is a Dana 80. Both geared at 5.13. The gvwr is 15,000 pounds.

They were available with 8 lug or optional 10 lug front hubs to match the rear 10 lug. The 10 lug hubs were very expensive and most just ran the 8 lug front with P30 19.5 wheels.
