Crew cab. Use it or lose it.

just a quick comment about the gas mileage in the Cadillac:

i have a 1970 472 Cadillac in my 76 C10. Its a 2wd shortbed, has a TH400, 26.6" tall rear tire, 2.73 rearend. The engine has been rebuilt to stock specs, and has dual 2.5" exhaust. in my light shortbed i get 10mpg even with a light foot. :-( no fun to pay for fuel, but its a fun truck and has TONS of power.

also sucks paying for rear new tires all the time lol

Yeah, no overdrive and a 26.6" tire. All that torque has nothing to do--what RPM's do you run around 60 mph? I would think that going to a 31" tire would net you much better acceleration (you could use a lot more pedal off the line without spinning) and way better fuel mileage . . . .

That is one fine rig. Are you sure this is not a show truck? And, no wonder my wife calls CK5 the "Truck Porn Site".:D

Mikey, fenders are the way we quit last night. Just had to pull it out of the way today.

I know, but I'm just wondering if I'm seeing things or I need to adjust it (and possibly the other one) next time.

I tried to match 'em up with the body lines as best I could, but couldn't step back and look at the big picture while it was inside.

Then, I'd say your OCD has you.

yeah agreed. the gas pedal is useless below 20mph unless you want to steer like a madman. with the 2.73's and converter slippage i average 2200RPM at 60. taller tires would indeed help but i like the 295/50's much better

Wow, That's absolutely beautiful!!!!!:bow::D

Wish I had known about the rest of that bumber before I bought the A-bomb. Never the less, The work is out standing!!!!

P.S. The A-bomb I got is AWESOME!!!!!:bow:

Basically that is the A-bomb. I hosed one up for somebody and had to refab. the fubar one was just to nice to scrap so I morphed it into that thing there.

I think that'd be 19 more than required!:D

lol

The tires and rims are giving my eyes a hard time, but its really growing on me.:D

Those tires are sweet for a tow rig considering how easy and cheap you can get em:thumb:

Always liked your work and happy to buy your products when its something I need or could use.
