You hoarder. You have a stack of caddy 500s and a pile of 6BTs.
Are they runners?

..., what ever route you go, the truck is amazing and looks great
and would look even better rolling smoke
I'll throw in my $.02 , the caddy mill is awesome, but, in a big heavy tow rig type of truck the cummins is a no brainer. My 00 cummins truck with 260k on the clock weighs only about 200lbs less then your crew does and consistently averages 20-22mpg unloaded highway and never under 15mpg no matter what it's pulling. Hell anything under 8k behind it and the only time you know it's there is taking off or trying to make a panic move.
The caddy mill would be awesome in something else, but a 6bt in your crew would just bring cool.
Just my opinion..., what ever route you go, the truck is amazing and looks great
and would look even better rolling smoke

20MPG would be awesome! 1960 mile cruising range!!!
Maybe someday I'll make a swap. If I ever get that far, I'd like to put in a manual overdrive trans as well. I kinda like rowin' the gears.

WOW, I didn't realize how much fuel your rig could hold !!
, because by that time the body on my Ram willbe completely shot and the drive train will need a new home
Arent those Bretts Hoarded pile of 6bts and hes got a mess of 60s somewhere too....bastard....
Screw that! I'd be lcoked up if that were the case of course my parts aren't as nice as those but still1 person having that many good parts without a use for them should be illegal...share the wealth

enough of that Obama propaganda! Sheesh! back to trucks please...1 person having that many good parts without a use for them should be illegal...share the wealth

If your going to throw a Cummins in it...bomb it and put a 13 speed in!!!!!
Arent those Bretts Hoarded pile of 6bts and hes got a mess of 60s somewhere too....bastard....all Ive got is 700R4s and 10 bolts out the ass...oh and a unknown probably locked up 6.2...I got some work to do.
.Ok, since going on the trip, I've made some adjustments. Only significant thing was timing, and for the record the timing was set via engine vaccum rather than any other indicators.
Put a tailpipe sniffer on it this evening and drove it home.
It was lean at idle, which doesn't mean much really.
13.7 AFR at highway speed. Right at 60 MPH.
14.7 or so under a good heavy load.
So, now its time to go back and do some more MPG testing and see if the proof is in the pudding.
