Crew cab. Use it or lose it.

Made some progress this weekend. The twin caliper is working but it sure is a tight fit!!!

and it is officially a dually now. Seems like it took forever to get this far but there it is.

The engine build has begun. Heads and block have been decked. Just a clean up pass. Will be boring this week. Can't wait for that to be ready to slide in!

Hey Kert, on that shackle flip on the duallie, whats with the bar that goes all the way across connecting to two hangers?

It just ties the two hangers together.....for strength.

The PO had removed some cross members. When I knocked the bumper off the frame moved pretty much immediately. So, It's basically a cross member but rather than being in the frame its on the suspension bracketry. Another cross member was put in where the upper shock mounts are.

As trick as your dually is going to be it is probably going to be featured in some off-road magazine.

That'd be cool but I just really want to finish it! I have 2 trucks that are under construction and my oldest sons pickup is getting some work done here and there too.

I love it Kert, I cant wait to see it pulling the K5. Got any plans for bumpers on it yet?

And ya that thing is gonna be a hoot to watch on ice, better get some tractor suitcase weights for the back.

Hey I couldnt remember were you gonna throw a manual in that or a auto?
Ive got a NP435 with a pto on it back home, I got it from work it used to be in a straight truck.

Took some time to read and check out all those pics but DEFINITELY worth it! Great work, Kert!

Jeez, you'd think you ENJOY double-flaring or something ... look at that plumbing!

So you gonna tells us about the rotor and calipers, for those of us considering disc brakes on our duallies? And how DID you get it all to fit inside a dually rim?

I have a hydro 465 ready to go in with a 205 behind it.

Got some very ambitious bumper plans for it.

As far as Ice, I'm hoping our winters stay as they have been the last 4-5 years. Maybe studded tires.

Kurt,
Looking good man! This is going to be one sweet rig when it's done! I can't wait to see it!

Kert, as allways looks great. I assume the crossbar on the shackles is welded since I cant see any bolts, correct?

ahh, never mind I can see in the fourth pic its welded. doh.

I had to dump some photos to make room for the 16.5" rim mod. The crew cab is actually sitting outside right now until some other jobs are finished.
