Well we finally got to the rubicon and lived to tell about it. This was a well thought out and much anticipated trip for most of the group. There was only five trucks but we had the best time.

All in all in was an awesome experience. Very minor carnage to the trucks and a very uneventfull trip overall.

Carnage list consisted of:
broken center pin on my front springs
broken shackle bolts on Chris(red beater)truck
bent rim on Jason's truck(white crew)
broken tire carrier on Keith's truck(black blazer)
Broken milemarker hub on Keith's truck

Other then the usual scrapes and dents that is about all that happend. And we were able to repair each in under 1.5 hours a piece with spares. /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif

Anyways, here are a few of the pics I took this weekend. Hopefully Jason and the others will post up the rest of the pics and vidoes soon.

These are a couple of my favorites. No action in them but the scenery is simply breathe taking.

Here are the rst of the pics. Enjoy!!!

Nice pictures dude. What were other people reactions to see a 4 door crew on the 'Con? And did Jason get denied but the Soup Bowl? /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

Other people? There was no one else out there!!! /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Except a few. They were pretty amazed.

And no Jason was NOT denied by the Soup kitchen. In fact he made it up twice. Videos will be up soon. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Got any pics of some really technical sections? I'm real interested in seeing what wheelin' is like on the 'con myself after all the hype.

man thats sweet im going up to wentworth springs tomorrow, where is that lake shot at?

The lake shot with just my truck is in the middle of the trail at Buck Island Lake. The one with the Burb and the trailer is at the spillway at the end of Icehouse road.

Tim, Jason has the other 400 pics that we took this weekend. He's just taking his sweet time getting them up. You'll see the technicle sections there.

But like always, pictures don't do the trail any justice. The trial is a none stop obstacle really. There wasn't really a time when i could get above 5 miles an hour. Except when I did a neutral run down the slabs at the end. Probably got up to about 45 then. Felt like that blazer coming down Lion's back with no brakes. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

i really want to go with someone who has gone before so i can get a feel of the trail before i take my truck through it, plus i think my truck need's a little more work before i attempt it, Nice pic's!!! ill post mine when i get back this weekend

That is why it took me soooooo long to get on the trail. I didn't want to take a truck out there that was going to break half way throught it and not be able to get it out.

And we lucked out to have a guy with us that runs the con all the time. Helped out in finding our way and finding the best places to camp.

ya my dad goes through there all the time but its on his quad, which is much much smaller than my k5 so that really dosent help any!! oh well mabye somebody up here will let me take a ride with them /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Unknown if they were or not. It didn't say on the headstones were they pasted. Further back on the trail there is a pile of rocks on with a steel cross cemented into the top of them. Supposedly that person died on another trail but was a regular to the con so they put a memorial there.

i thought of that too, they liked it so much they wanted to be bured there. i want my ashes shot out of a cannon over this cool lake up north. /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

my dad said that they rolled down Cadillac hill wich is right next to the graves, they died at the bottom off the side of the trail

esteban... what size tires are you running? is that just 4" lift w/trimming? looks cool!
