I didnt know that, thats why I love it here. I learn somthing new everyday

Don't believe everything you see here. Stock knuckles have been fine for me.

High steer, crossover, hydro assist, raised arms on the knuckles, bolted on instead of studs, heims. Running 37's on a welded 3/4 ton 10 bolt with aftermarket shafts. Me push my luck, never...

With a 60 too. I am running stock knuckles, hydro assist on 42s full high steer. I have sheered a couple of TRE but it has held up fine.

On the other hand on my blazer I was running just crossover (lots of lift) and I kept on breaking studs. Had a 2" block under my arms though so the studs were long. No hydro assist.

Where is the both option? My K30 has High Steer, my '90 K5 just has Cross Over.

For those who worries about bending tie-rods, here's a vid for you:D
I wonder what that tie rod is made of...:eek1:

Im not saying everyone is going to break their knuckles running full high steer but it can happen.

Crossover for me.

What did he not see that tree? or was that a commercial for his tie rod? Ethier it looked painful.

I have low cross-over, but bent my tie rod a few runs ago - Working on full-hydro now.

I didn't run hi-steer due to concerns about stock knuckle strength.

I'm curious as to how many have actually broken a knuckle from the Hi-steer setup? I can't say that I've heard many instances of this. What is particular about the hi-steer setup causes the extra stress? Is it the fact that both atms are connected to the top of the knuckle instead of the pressure being equalized over the top and bottom?

I bought arms for both knuckles, but I havent installed anything yet. So crossover for sure, possibility of hi steer.....

I know 2 guys that have busted knuckles.

Its definitely better to get the upgraded outers, those are on my list of stuff to get now that I have fully decided to stick with one tons in Horton
