Custom Length Brake Lines

We already make a set of those standard for that conversion. They are a little more per line as they are much longer, but they do exactly what you are after. Here is a pic of mine. It looks kind of crappy due to the fact that I don't have clips installed to keep the lines close to the axle at the top in this pic. I really need better pics :o

its up to 36" long for $45 colored right? What is the price like per inch or whatever after that? How long would it take to get some 36ers?

Unfortunately, the price is $45 for our standard to 32" long. After that, they jump up quite a bit because we have them made in bulk in for various vehicle/axle combinations. Higher volume = lower price. There are only a couple of variations for all the GM rigs, so we are pretty safe bringing in higher quantities of lines for the different years and axle combinations. The 32" length came from a lot of testing and measuring under all kind of wheeling conditions with various different suspension performance/lifts.

I can do 36" long colored lines for $65 ea. shipped. It usually takes 2 weeks from time of order to your door step for custom lengths.

I am headed back to the shop after a quick bite of dinner, I'll snap some pics of the standard 32" lines w/ a 6" lift so you can see how much extra line there is.

Sorry it took so long. Here are some pics of some front brake lines installed. There is 16" of brake line on each side of the zip tie around the shock. The zip tie was temporary to keep the brake lines from getting snagged on the tire.

I'm looking at those lines in your pics and thinking since I'm only running a 4" lift that 32" line is going to be too long, any thoughts? I need to get some lines when I swap in my front 60 soon, let me know whatcha think. oh yeah I'm running tuff country ez rides so my front is probably less then 4" by now:doah:
 
I still wouldn't mind longer line still, if you got some extra you can tie it off somewhat. At full droop on my rack I will have a few more inches but when you flex it will push down a few more and might get snug at full flewx droop and full turn. The 60 alsmo ounts the lines horizontal than vertical so that will take up a smidge too. I will prob use the brackets that came with these and bend at a 45* so it points my lines down a little out of the frame instead of straight out.

Sorry for the delay in reply. I am just getting back after the long weekend.

The reason we went with 32" length is that it seemed to be the magic number for MOST of the lift/flex combinations out there. I was running a very flexy 4" lift with some old procomp lines and I had to limit my suspensio before it bottomed out because my brake lines we too short.

We can make them shorter, but I always warn that they may be on the short side. Ultimately, it's up to you and how you wheel your rig :)

We can get them made just about any length/style. What we are dealing with is the differences in e-brake cable setups between the years, and different lift/flex applications. It seems that the years with individual adjustability per side are working best. Basically, the '87 -ish e-brake cable setup. They have the bracket that mounts to the cable going to the pedal in the cab, and 2 individual cables with adjusting rod/nuts that run to each wheel. This helps keep each individual caliper adjusted properly rather than one side getting more leverage than the other as is the case in the older style cable setups (1 long cable going to both e-brake cables).

The problem, is that there really isn't a garuanteed "1 cable fits" all solution due to the different typs of lifts and flex that each one offers. We can get close as long as the e-brake cables are swapped over to the newer style.

How much lift? How much droop do you get out of your rear springs (approx. is fine)? That way I know how long to we would need to get them made.
