I guess it wouldn't help with high steer...and I guess you'd have to do both knuckles for it help with low steer.

That's a bad break! I think this would be one of the worst breaks to suffer on the trail.
Somewhere I saw a zip tie repair for this.

I am finally about to install my kit... 
The GM kit, this is one knuckle. Both sides come in the kit.
Prepped knuckle. (All studs should be removed I cheated.)
First piece layed in, protect those threads!!
Second piece layed in, some welding and forming.
Back to the other side.
Next piece.
Last piece and finishing up all welding.
Finished, and cleaned up.

got them installed, went to put the caliper on, and bam, it hits the reinforcement, had to do some grinding, but got them to clear.
