Dana 44/10 Bolt Crossover/Hi-Steer Arms GROUP BUY

I'm not a paying customer and he has to keep his paying customers happy. The whole reason for the cheap deal was getting the machine time for nearly nothing and always being at the end of the line if something came up... that also left me in a position of not being able to use another shop because the labor/machine time alone would be double what I charged for the arms :doah:

Right now your money worth of steel is sitting there cut to length... just wouldn't do much good to try and bolt it on yet :haha: But if your ready to take your money to one of the vendors that have these already on a shelf I'd be happy to refund your money as well.

I don't mind waiting either, but my question is - does you're FIL's shop work 24-7? I mean is there anyway that you could get some time outside of his business hours to tear this off for us? I also think if you told one of his machinist's what it is you're looking to get done, you could work a deal on the side with him, (with you're FIL's foreknowledge and blessing of course). I don't know, get creative & barter a service in exchange for his work.

Just trying to grease the wheels some here.

Later,
Buddy

His shop is a one man operation and he is working pretty long hours. The biggest problem is getting it in without needing to tear down the job already set up on his mill. If he ended the day with the mill empty he could set it up for me and I could change the parts out and push the start/stop buttons. I've spent a little time doing more prep work recently and it looks like I'll get to spend a little time this weekend running parts too. I'll keep everyone posted how it goes.

Just a quick update... my father-in-laws mill has opened up again and the steering arms are going back on it shortly. I should have some finished parts soon.

Awesome! Thanks for the update that is really appreciated. Good luck!

Obviously, that didn't happen. KennyW, I am going to be going to get my blazer from my parent's house at thanksgiving. Do you think that there is any possibility of getting the finish machine work done for a single set & shipped to me by then?

Do you think that your father in law would be able or willing to do a single set at a time & you could ship them out as they are done? It's pretty apparent that he will never have enough time to do them all at once, & this is really the only thing holding me up from doing the crossover conversion.

Let me know,
Buddy

Yeah, I got to be honest, my deadline is going to be a January shipping. If you can't match that, I'm going to need my money back.

I know January is a bad time, so if it doesn't look good, maybe we should address this now before the holidays.

Sorry dude, I really wanted to see this through but...

I know he has made progress but hasn't finished yet... had some nice weather so he used it to finish painting a truck to pay his shop rent. I'll try to catch him in the morning and get an update.

He is running them this week. We will have to see how far he gets. If I can't get a pair done for you before Thanksgiving I'll refund the cash. But as long as he keeps them going this week we should start seeing finished parts soon.

We are officially half way there... the passenger side arms are complete. He is now working on the drivers side. I want to get pics up, but I won't have time to stop at the shop until Wednesday :doah:

I got busy with finals and didn't get down there to pickup the completed parts... Looks like I will be leaving a bit early today to avoid a snow storm so I'll swing by and get a update and pickup the pass side arms.

Finally made it over to the shop when my FIL was there... he is full of ****. Nothing has been done on the steering arms in the last 3-4 months and the pass side arms are not done like he said.

I'll pm everyone about refunds. I don't think this is going forward anytime soon :doah:

KennyW,

Please don't forget to send me the CAD file you have for the design. I'd still like to have it made locally.

Thanks,
Buddy
