The only wobbles I've had were related to loose steering parts and were solved by a stabilizer. It may take a pair of dampers on it to get it calmed down. I hate to recommend band-aids for this stuff but that seems to be what works sometimes. I had a buddy running 40" boggers on a BRAND NEW from the crate D60 and had a DW. We slapped the stabilizers on it and it's fine. didn't question it too far.
Hope this helps

platapus said:Hello - I think Im have death wobble problems on my 79 k5 (6" lift / 35 MT)
When ever I hit a bump in the road at about 20-40 MPH the driver side wheel woobles erraticly until I come to an almost complete stop...is the the death wooble people are talking about?
I pulle the front hub apart, and everthing seems fine. When I have the front end jacked up, and check the wheel for any play, I notice that there is a little bit (1/8" if that) on the bottom pin that holds the spindle to the axle, could this be the cause? And is this the kingpin?
thanks
?yep also check your TREs and DREsplatapus said:Ok - that is what is loose..according the the LMC catalog page 113, bottom right, it is the lower front axle ball joint. But the play is minimal compared to how much my front tires wobbles when I hit a bump. could this be?
platapus said:My exp working on linkage/suspension is minimul, so forgive my newbie questions. On the bottom part of the ball joint, is a "C" clip, and the top part has a bolt/nut w/ cotter pin. can I replace these myself or are they machined in with a press or something of that nature?
BTW BB443, I notice you had a thead posted about DW, did you ever resolve your DW?

BTW - I have a 10bolt front end.
I just got a dual shock steering stabilizer for the front end, but havent installed it yet. Im was hoping that it will help.
Is there any perticular cure for this problem...from what I have been reading on here, sounds like the entire front end needs to be replaced aling with a new set of tires?
