DeWalt Angle Grinder for $19.99

My local Aldi's store was out of eggs two days in a row, after advertising them in the paper for 49 cents per dozen too...seems like the new trend--advertise something, then dont have any in stock.... no rain checks on eggs either!..stores use the old bait and switch routine here often--we dont have the ones on special, but DO have these at a higher price..

The woman working at the store got nasty when my sistsr asked where the eggs were, that they said were coming in thursday,--she snipped "We HAD several dozen come in,they are ALL GONE--YOU didn't get here fast enough!..my sister was not in a good state of mind ,after having an argument with her husband on her cell phone a few moments earlier on our way there-and it almost brought her to tears..

She was pissed enough to call the store's reigonal manager and complain about their "bitchy clerk"on the way home.....I dont blame her,she had the same job and she'd get in trouble if she treated a customer that way..
I bet the "Help Wanted" sign will be on display there again now..

There is one at a store 41 miles away...I'm thinking about going to get one...this is one of the good ones a 28402.

Even minus gas it is a good deal

Blame the internet for that not the store.

There are posting boards just like this one that ( I personally know 3 people) that check them more than I check CK5 facebook and pirate put together.

Word spreads faster than you can imagine. There are also groups on facebook like that.

I don't even bother with stuff like that. Its not like the stores can stock an infinite amount of eggs.

But they do get you in with a lower price. Seems like they accomplished their mission

I told my sister a friend has FRESH eggs delivered to his door for 5 bucks ,for 6 dozen eggs...the "egg lady" has a small farm with chickens and the eggs are huge and taste as good or better than store bought ones do--and you dont have to go get them !..but I dont eat enough of them to go that route..

One store advertised Mobil Delvac 15W-40 diesel oil on sale for 11.99--went there as fast as I could the day the sale started--NONE!..

Saleman says "Oh,yeah, that stuff was back ordered,sorry--we can give you a rain check though--go to the service desk"...

I go get one,all it was,was a cash register recepit!..girl says "just bring this in and show it to the cashier and they'll ring it up as the sale price"..

I asked the manager standing there "Cant you just sell me the Shell Rotella T at the same price"?..."No. I'm sorry.."..

So I go back about a month later..still no Mobil Delvac on the shelf!.."stock guy says "nope, never got any in yet"..

I go back a month or so later for something else, and Ta-da,there it is,they finally got some!..I grab a jug,and go to the register....dig around in my wallet for several minutes..finally find the crumpled up "rain check"...the dam INK has dissapeared!...so naturally, the cashier AND the manager both said "sorry,we cant read it,so you'll have to pay the price "as marked"...17.99!..(SAME guy I asked 2 months ago about swapping the Rotella T too,and I know he remembered me!)..

I said "Oh NO I'm NOTpaying that much!...and I lugged it back to the shelf, and plopped it down hard enough to hopefully make it leak,or knock over a few hundred quarts of oil...pissed me off royally..

Wonder if they'll give a rain check on these since every store around me is "out of stock".

i just talked to them. there is none available even at the distribution center

How convenient huh?..bet they never had any, they just put that in the ad to get you in the door..

Maybe your attorney general should be informed of their "false advertising"...probably wont do squat though, seems a lot of stores do this all the time and get away with it..

One "trick" you might use is to bring the ad to Lowes or some other store that will "match competitors prices" ,I did that once when I bought a circular saw,the place that advertised it for 29.99 (reg price 59.99) was "back ordered"..so I went to another home center who had the same saw,and a sign saying "We'll beat any competitors price plus 10%"...
I showed them the ad,the lady at the sales desk says "well,go get the saw,I'll ring it up for you!...so it only cost me about 25 bucks plus tax...their regular price for it was 69.99..
:D

They did have some...my brother got one...but I bet they didn't have any more than standard stock...maybe 6 per store?

thanks for the heads up chief! I just printed out the ad and took it to home depot and got them to price match it. $70 off is a pretty sweet discount! bought both of the ones they had in stock. :)

Whoop whoop! I got mine!

Home Depot very reluctantly price matched one for me. :D

Thanks for posting this deal Chief Brody! :thumb:

Did Home Depot not try to find out if Tractor Supply had the item "in stock" as their price match rules say?Home depots rules say they will match pricing plus 10% on IN STOCK items?

Honestly I wasn't sure if they would match it period. The page Chief linked doesn't have a dewalt part number listed so it seems likely that it isn't exactly the same as the $90 grinder at home depot but they didn't seem to care and I certainly wasn't going to argue. They had 2 different 4 1/2" dewalt grinders and the $90 version looked like the picture in the ad so that is the one they did the deal on. :woot:

Do you ever have a positive post? It's a thread about a good buy on tools.

Martin

I'm gonna try this today... Nothing better to do and I could use a nice grinder!

No,your right,I dont post much about anything positive...because not many positive things happen in my life ,especially lately..sorry if that annoys you Martin..

I did post about trying to get other stores to price match the items "not in stock" and some here were able to get them at reduced cost--does that count as "positive"?...:dunno:

I had to go to 2 different home depots to get 2 grinders, it definitely wasn't as easy for me, but that seems to be on par for my area. Lowe's wouldn't honor it at all
