A second pulse generator run on what ever cylinder fires opposite of #1 could give you the extra pulse too. You would just need a safe way to combine the two signals.

2 stroke Detroits don;t have external injection lines though. they're unit pump injectors.
I think i've found the kit i used before. its a blue point MT257B diesel pules adapter. and you can use it for tach and timing lights. so it must enhance the signal some how already.
