Just playin with you, bro. I just can't take tapatalk's view at face value any longer and I have to remember to adjust posts for web view. I really am glad you pointed that out because my posts looked like TAPIOCA!

Wanna see redneck? Bet you thought I wouldn't do it! Yes, I strapped the trans down to the stock crossmember, added a strap to each frame rail running around the doubler, made a temp driveshaft, and drove dat ho home! Make no mistake! That's a piece of 2x4 between the trans mount & crossmember!

Next post will be an interesting story.

These are some pics I took after I got back from dinner a few minutes ago.

So, I mentioned that my older friend, whose shop I was using, wanted me out of there at 7pm daily. While I certainly respect him & his shop, I don't get off work until 5pm so I was limited to two hours per day. That wasn't gonna cut it. That's why the rigging with the straps became a necessity. Once I got the rig where she'd crank & drive, I was out of there!

I got a lot done today in my two-hour allotment. I had to detach the dash and work the pedal bracketry in with the brake pedal attached, hang the clutch pedal and attach the master support rods, bolt the master in, plug in all the crap I had to unhook for re-routing yesterday, and bolt the dash and all back in.

After all that, I hooked the negative battery cable back up, cranked her up, checked everything over, then drove home!

There aren't many pics but I'm pretty happy to have driven her for the first time in almost 4 months! These are all the pics that I have for now. I'll be doing more pictures from now on since things will be moving at a more comfortable pace!

Just to get it home, I would have done the same.

No kid'n, right? I love Mr. Melvin (that's his shop) but I was feeling oppressed and grateful at the same time. At least his facilities helped get the heavy lifting out of the way so I can piddle my way through the rest of the small stuff at my own pace & such.

Video time. A shorty but it'll do.

Of course, after last night, a bit of excitement was rekindled. I took three videos this morning starting at sun-up. This one and two more that have yet to be uploaded.

Got more crossmember trinkets today. Once the goody box arrives from Kert tomorrow, I should be able to hit the punch list pretty hard. A mostly sunny and 70 degree Saturday is in the forecast so my fingers are crossed for some serious progress.

nice build, you have great ideas and fab skills. I really liked your build until you said sunny and 70 !!!

Pseudo poly bushings/pseudo 9/16" bolt. Yep... The poly bushings included with the Behemoth stuff have 1/2" ID inner sleeves. Kert's pseudo poly jobs have 9/16" bores as do the DIY4X tabs. Ordered some 9/16" ID inner sleeves for the final install but this piddly difference isn't gonna slow my progress much. I made some shims from sheet metal to take up the difference so I can get the crossmembers made.

I hope to get the electronic speedo wired in this weekend. The wiring for the reverse lights & lighted shifters will go right in with that. I brought a wall-charger for the phone to the shop so plenty of pics shouldn't be a big deal.

Now, if 5 o'clock will just roll around, I'll start working! Eh, unless the boss leaves early!

Got the tc/trans wiring harness started. Didn't get any pics of the crimps here but this is the split for the triple-stick lighting.

These are three components' individual harnesses that are going into the tc/tranny group harness. They're going into the chinese handcuff/braided sheath instead of that corrugated loom crap. I've grown less fond of that stuff lately. The braided looks so much better anyhow.

Im just going to leave this here.....for no other reason than to motivate you to get 'er running.....LOL

Coming on along with the harness. Got some tabs to crimp onto this so bolts will hold it in place just like the originals. Can't have wires getting ripped out because they're not secured.

That braided wire covering looks sooo much better than the regular old convoluted tubing. I wish I had "discovered" that before I cleaned up the wiring in my engine compartment.
