DIsc brake plumbing a few pics and questions again

This is where i got my rear flex lines for the caliper end of things. http://www.tsmmfg.com/Brake_Accessories_others.htm#FLEXIBLE BRAKE HOSES

If you're running early calipers with the 7/16" banjo bolt you want this hose...

If you're running later calipers with the 10mm banjo bolt you want this hose...

i just bought the universal hydraulic flaring tool from mastercool that does push connect style lines, gm fuel lines, 45 degree double flare, and metric bubble flares. its an expensive tool but well worth the money

Stoney - I think they were 5/16" fine thread. My 3/8 thick diff cover was plenty thick to drill and tap.

UPS - Yes, I know I need to secure the end of the hard line. I still haven't driven the truck yet. :doah: It's on my list. My biggest problem problem with the cheap (and to a lesser extent the Rigid) flare tools was also that the would flare off-center. I must have practiced 10 times on scrap tube using all kinds of different tricks with both tools before I did the final flares. I tried lube/no lube, chamfer inside/outside/both, and slightly different lengths of tube sticking out of the tool. They all came out pretty much the same. :dunno:

hmm I think I got the wrong brake hose for my calipers. I got 20996 rubber hose from napa but I believe the is supposed to be a banjo bolt? The calipers are from a 1978 3/4 ton. It doesnt look like there is any way that hose is going to thread in there. a pic of the hose

Hey all, has any ran the rubber line out of the notch on the caliper as in the first pic or I should run it in its intended area as in the second pic. Also I could use some advice on where to run the line. My shock tabs seem to be right in the way:o These are the chevette lines. Thanks in advance for any info
