i belive it was the 76-78 eldrado, i got lucky on mine and found them at a junk yard for cheap $15 each

I rented a brake line flaring tool, and rented a hub socket from autozone
I have roughly 250 total in the swap........man, I wish you hadn't made me add it all up, I'm so much happier when I don't add things up. you could use used rotors and calipers if you're cheap, but I wanted to do it right. Luckily somebody gave me some weird unmatched IFS calipers that poor advanced accepted as cores

My place bites. I went from a 4 car garage to a very small doublecar in my new place. It's tight but i manage to make it work. In the last year i sold my mill and my lathe so i have a little more room now. I work in a machine shop so i decided it was cheaper to use the company equiptment rather than cover my floor space with machinery.chevy wrangler said:

Jim, just ask for ANY 70's (73+) 3/4ton front rotors.

perfect, because i already bought some for the front and decided im too broke to use them in the front. So I'm gonna use them in the rear. And gonna go price the caddy calipers today.Muddytazz said:

BTW.....Jeff, I still have not received my arm from sky/dunce yet. How rediculous is that? 1 1/2 weeks to ship me a part that was on there shelf. I called them yesturday and he guaranteed my it would be here today. Meaning he shipped it yesturday, prolly only cause i called and whined.

Don't know, I never had mine hooked up in the 4 yrs of running it. I just took them off couple days ago and put on some front calipers in the back. But there are others on here that have hooked theirs up, some with custom made cables and some say they used their stock cables.

are you gonna have a right up of your install??
Could someone tell me about using Chevette brake hoses on this conversion? I haven't heard of that one before. I've used '71 2WD hoses before and they worked out well.

the chevettle lines have the same size fitting that goes into the wheel cylinder. I reused the fittings from the old wheel cylinder. They also have 7/16 banjo bolts. I just cut the hardlines on the axle about as far as the chevette lines stretched out, and then used a double flare tool on them.. Screw in the fitting to the chevette lines, bolt them up and you're good to go. Chevette lines are short, only a foot or maybe a little less.

I priced it at napa and its only $67 (thats the good news)
The bad news is it an unloaded caliper, so I'll need to find the springs and e-brake arm for it.
Napa doesn't sell any loaded calipers for the eldorado.
