Got the new PS pump in, drove it about 50 miles and the pump died???

Only works when you rev the engine.

I want to move my alternator to the passenger side. And kits?

You might just have air in the pump or be low on fluid. If you didn't do the bleeding procedure you might do it and then check on the fluid level.

Alternator move should be easy. They make "chrome plated" brackets that are bolt on at most autoparts stores. Wrecking yard from any early 80s to late 70s.

Yep still air in the system. I'll bleed it by cycling the steering, again.

Found my brackets at Classic Industries.

Well, I stuck my head under the stock seats and realized I can probably use the factory seat mount to install my PRP's up front. Let's see how that fly's....

Yeah but they were to high.
I'm gonna drive to PRP tomorrow and swap the mounts I got from them for some Manx mounts the are shorter. To bad as they bolted into the factory mounts nicely.

Nice! Looks like your head and spine will thank you with the lower position of the seat!

Can you get a lower, profile shot so I can see your mounts and how they are attached at the floor and to the seat? Kind of like you did to show they other mounts.

Well finally cooled off enough to go back into the garage...

Found the steering pump I need at Rock Auto. Ordered it and they sent the wrong one. Awesome.

I think if your engine is original,it'll have the "short" water pump,so you will probably need to get the "longer" pump in order to move the alternator to the passenger side ,and get the belts to align...

I think in '73 GM decided to go with the longer water pump when they moved the altenator to the other side..

I recall some having troubles getting the right water pumps, when I sold rebuilts the A-1 Cardone ones came with a spacer--there were two different long pumps, one had the threaded tab for the P/S pump in a lower position and they decided to make one pump fit both applications..if you went with a new pump,or some other brand, you had to be sure to get the right one for your application, using the casting numbers off the original was the best way to determine that..

Some early 70's GM's still used that round can P/S pump--have you tried mounting it to your brackets ?...the "canned ham" ones came around the same time...it might fit and work, check to see the belt lines up,if it does fit the brackets..

Your engine is a car engine ,having a "C" prefix--a truck code begins with a "T"...looed on this site on google and found "CNO" comes up to be a 1970 350 ..

Thank you!

Gonna order up some Procomp beadlocks, a friend designed them and they are actually made in America.
I'm gonna have them painted white, not sure if I want the lock rings painted white, machine finished, or polished.

Nice! Have you taken off the top since you put it on? I figure you have some pretty nice weather down there to enjoy the topless driving.
