Looks like a lot of "base lining" is going on in these photos....!

How's it running after all of this? Seems like you must have removed about a dozen weird groans, scrapes and bangs from the list of noises it makes running down the road.

Still need to do the crush sleeve going with a 1350 yoke so when I replace the drive shaft I can go bigger than the 1310 that's on there. Transfer case needs to be sealed up, and the gas tank needs to be dropped so I can find the leak on the top. Also need new rubber brake and fuel lines. The passenger font axle needs bearings and seals and I'm sure I'll end up doing carrier and pinion bearings there too. Along with the rebuilt carb comes points, plugs, wires, cap, belts, air cleaner, valve cover gaskets, exhaust manifold gaskets, PCV valve, hoses, fuel filter, radiator flush, motor, and trans mounts.

Then I still need to hang the front bumper and will probably do new body mounts. Steering box brace and reinforcement.

I'm sure I'll find more...

But other than that I'm almost done..:haha:

Should be rolling by September.

Are you keeping them for originality's sake???

I want to be able to fix things in the field. So if something goes wrong 50 miles from the nearest paved road I can fix it. So no fuel injection, or electronic ignition system and so on. Don't care much about horse power or fuel economy. Not really interested in going fast anymore, got that out of my system racing Ultra4, see link in my sig. The Mojave Desert is in my back yard and I want to go explore it and enjoy it rather than watch it fly by at 50mph. Also a close friend wants to race the Dakar and is not so good at navigation. So our plan is to drive a day straight out in the desert spend a day exploring and then a day driving back.

That's not how I took it.

Put a comma in there and it will make more sense.
