DJz Blazer

Ok, I have a dual walled hardtop. It sounds as if it's mostly hollow, and gold crush stuff comes out of it that I can only assume is Asbestos..:what:

It has a rattle in it right behind my head that most every bump it springs like a broken brace inside the top. Any idea WTF that is?? Where it might be and will simply running a screw into it to make it stop tapping?? I plan on replacing it with a soft top by summer. Then try and find someone to rebuild or salvage my stock hard top for winter camping.

Probably want a grand or so for the front 44 and the same for the 12 bolt.

Also will have the rims and tires up for sale too. 33 inch.

You are trying to sell a Dana 44 for a $1,000? Or am I misreading that?

What are the details on the front springs?

My springs are Super Lift 4 inch? They are flat up front on a spring over.

Donor Blazer has the new ORD soft springs in front, which will probably find there way into my Blazer. Unless it lifts it to high and I can't get it into the garage.

I was wondering about the donor, they looked like some custom ones. That is a great parts blazer! So many cool things.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy!!!

I should be able to sell the left over stuff and come close to breaking even too. Imagine the look I got from the wife when I told her that. lol

Does anybody have any idea what lift I might have?
It's spring over and the front leafs are pretty much flat. Is that 2 inch or 4???

probably a 2
my 4 has very little arch but it's there
actually, looking at a bigger picture of your truck I'd say 4

let me know if you're ever out this way!

That's what I was thinking as he said his are 4 inch lift.

I can't believe I'm asking this...

What tire can I get away with with little cutting and maybe a 4 inch lift, probably a 2.

I'm thinking 35 to 37 tops. I'm limited to garage door height and I'm not airing down every time I'm done driving it.

Ours are different body styles but Im having the same complication. With no top on, 4 inch lift, 1 inch body, and 33 inch roller tires I was able to clear an 8' garage door by an inch and a half about. Though that is with just a body, no engine or interior. In the end I want 35" tires and I hope I don't have to air down.

I think I have a two inch lift. Gonna have to see how much garage clearance with 35's before I lift it anymore. My garage door is maybe 6'8"...

I have 35" tires with 6" spring lift and 2-1/2" body lift. without the hardtop on I just barely CAN'T clear a 7' garage door. I would think 4" lift and 35's would clear the door fine. The bigger question would be if 4" of lift would be enough for the fenders to clear the 35's. I'm doubtful, but couldn't say for sure.

Great. I don't think the 5:13's in the diffs will like 33 inch tires...:(

I also have 6" lift (0 body) and had to cut a lot in the front. You might be able to make it work by moving the axle forward with an easy inch and that would give you 5" lift and room for 35's, or maybe limiting the up travel.

I am looking at completely redoing my fender openings to fit 37's without smashing the fender.
No upgrade/modification comes without ramifications :haha:
