Better than padding would be sort tech posts tell us some of the headaches you had to over come. What version is that Dmax Not lik I would know the differnce but the diesel guys would. I know there is like LBZ, LLM versions but dont know what thye mean. GIVE US SOME SPECS HERE!

I kow 69-72's have a ton of underhood space but that still suprized me how small it looks in there.

I envy you're ambition. Hell i can't even motivate myself enough to build an engine to put into my Blazer :doah: and it's not like i'nm short on money either :rolleyes:

Well lest see only headaces are the fact that our trucks have the MOST rediculasly WEAK drivetrain, Umm I think that says it all No?

Or do you mean the dmax swap? that itself poses some issues no to bad though.

The Engine Looks like it was put there by GM if you look at my first post you might find a way to see it.
The Dmax is an 02 lbz

Headaches involved in a Dmax swap

Hmm the biggest headace is how short the rear shaft is.
I will need an atlas Tcase with a flat yoke, the 263 Np is VERY long and has a slip yoke.
How did it fit in the rails? It fits like a GLOVE it was like GM had planned it allready. I used the factory 72 Tcase Xmember and added a mount stand.
I am going to use the ECM, TCM, BCM, ABS, ICM, and every other CM ther is, I will use the factory heated power leather seats, Security sytem,auto dimming rear veiw mirror, Intergrated guage cluster including the message center and electronic PRNDL indicator,
Ive custom fabbed my 40 G fuel tank to accept the factory Dmax sender / pu module allready,
I will use the BCM to controll an either custom or intergrated a/c heat system,
can this be Done? Y E S Ive allready made it happen in a 99 hummer H1

I will go home tonight and try to take Photos of the custom dash Ive allready had designed and lazer cut from brushed stainless
Im into to many projects atm so be patient as progress is slow on all

Was you at sand mtn easter weekend of 07 or 06? hat truck looks very familure. I used to go with my friends a lot its a blast down there.
 
Its down near salem I think. or payson Im not sure LOL Hell the only thing Im totally sure of is elk ridge is south of spanish fork. I went there about 5 years ago to deliver a big trailer mounted gererator.
