do I have a right to be upset?

wheels

like I said...understandable circumstances. ****ty it happened to me but after my conversation with TWF I feel satisfied with what we agreed to make it right, for me.

Hands down, one of the stupidest things I've read on this site...

Are you the guy the guy that calls back dominoes yelling and wanting free pizza and swears to never return because they forgot the olives?

People make mistakes period.

I've had a problem, time delay, wrong part received etc with all three of the vendors in my sig. They are still to me the BEST vendors and its how they respond to a problem or step up to a new challenge that separates them from others. With dan a diff cover was off center and I had to spend a good deal of time grinding on it just to bolt it up to go wheelin.. he told me to keep it being it would now work and sent me another good one for my other axle and was sorry.. To me that is great service. Dan rocks:thumb:

There is only 2-4 vendors on here or pirate I can think of off hand that even offer the same/similar wheel product and service as a normal part of their everyday business.

For me my headache vender was NWF.. but in the end, all my frustrations aside.. guess how many vendors make cable shifters for a divorced 205?

Eventually I got my shifter cables, I am sure plenty others had good service and some bad and they were eventually very responsive about it. Ill probably never buy from kyle again but I can appreciate the products he brings to our little hobby.

Its a custom project, custom wheel from a small company from someone like myself who supports the sport and hobby I love.

Im willing to be understanding that not every part order goes right.. and sometimes that bad service or order falls on me. If they fix it and its not standard practice I call it as no harm no foul.

The word custom to me means cuss... sometimes projects or parts cause a lot of it. Custom parts and small companies with human hands open the door for mistakes to be made.

Cant deal with that... go buy wheels off the shelf form redline, walker, trail ready or hutchinson... for double the price even then I am sure something makes its way off the loading dock with an error sometimes.

Did you ever determine if they are truly off-center or was it an optical illusion? In my opinion that was the #1 issue, but you've been kind of skirting it. The powder coat can be fixed locally.

I was having some issues with my TWF wheels, mostly due to the fact that they are crappy used wheels to begin with. The wheels are practically military scrap and TWF is turning them into something really useful. I mean, the PVC inserts cost more than the wheels do. TWF worked with me on the issue and when we couldn't figure it out quickly, offered to just make up a whole new set and ship them to me. I'm sure they will do whatever is reasonable to make you happy.

Really???

Buy whatever you want... From whom ever you want... And wait for two months, then deal with it being wrong and the headache that goes with it...... If that's what you'll deal with, then that's on you... More power to ya Turbo...

I made my own wheels...:waytogo:

I've been self employed for over a decade and I would never conduct myself in the manner that TWF has treated this situation...

You sir, are the one that is ridiculous...

I don't know if I'd pay $1000 for wheels with flat centers. Considering the fact that 17" raceline wheels are the same price

The company screwed up, they are willing to do what ever it takes to make it right.

Aside from better quality control in the future what else do you expect?

Some of you are ridiculous

These are small companies, some of which were guys like you or me that turned a hobby into a business to support a small market.

This is the most level headed post in this thread.

Hi Andy, this is Mike Brown...still curious about that wheel you said you were going to give me to make right on me waiting so long, and having to deal with the stripped out studs, the stud welded to the rim, the powder coat that rubbed off, the studs that had powder coat on them, the purosity "bubble" on the rock ring. Remember I waited and you told me that your compressor is down, and that you wanted to assemble the rims before shipping to make sure they did not have any problems or that they did not leak, obviously that was a lie, what I want to know is what you told me about sending me another rim free to make it right and to make me happy is that a lie too? been a couple of months and you will not even reply back to my emails, you will not reply back to my messeges on pirate, I feel like you guys "trailworthy fab" got the best of me, I feel like I gave you a chance to make it right and at first you spoke a big game of excuses and lies. Please just let me know if your not going to give me that rim you told me you would so I can quit waiting for it.. I'm pretty discouraged about not hearing back, I've left a few messages a while ago on the phone...never heard back, just man up and tell me to kick rocks if you don't want to make this right. Thanks, Mike Brown

Mike-

I found a wheel out in the shop that fits the bill except for the back spacing. It is at 4.00”. So I need to make up a new back half to get your wheel going. I don’t have any flat centers to make it until later next week. The order has been placed for awhile but the machine that tapers the wholes is down so I can’t get the centers completed.

I had the guys blast some wheel studs so you should have all of that very soon. I will update you when I know more about the wheel.

Thanks,
Andy

I was just outside today, welding the inner rim stiffeners I made to the rims I purchased from TWF. Eric(blazinzuk) and I even talked about how my rims were flawless, and we both wondered if your ever got straightened out. Now we know.
I'd still give them a chance to make it right. I know its frustrating, and I know it sucks. we've all played the game at one time or another. My last time was with Ballistic fab and the ****ing sh!tty customer service, that they seem to think is the best its ever been.
Ask Folkenheath how his Ballisitic fab experience is going.
The point I'm making, is it happens to everyone at some time or another. all you can do is do what ever it takes to get it to work for you.
I do feel your pain...I'll never buy another thing from Ballistic fab.
