DOM Tubing - What's a "good" price these days?

BTT -

Steel demand is way down...... has anyone seen it affect DOM pricing, or are the suppliers still trying to sell off expensive inventories??? :dunno:

Anyone have actual recent costs to share, esp. on the East Coast? I want to place an order with a local supplier for some 1.75" x .120" DOM but want to get a sense of what the going rate is before I call him.

:usaflag:

I'm wondering the same thing, I will call my supplier to see.

Just got a quote for U.S. Made DOM (1.75" x .120") for around $3.20/ft. w/ ASTM certs.

Anyone else gotten quotes recently to tell me if that's a good price??

I got that same price back in the fall from a local supplier. They were quoting $3 a foot for an entire stick if they didn't cut it.

Hit Kert up (DIY4X...cybrfire), I think he might be selling it by the inch now..

i'll update this soon when I do my marmon-keystone order next month.. that'll be 10, 11 sticks of 2 and 1.5...

We're at .44 per inch on a 1.75 x .120 wl. DOM tubing.

That works out to just over $105 per 20' stick.

Bad part is we can only ship up to a certain length. Don't remember the length off the top of my head. 106" rings out for some reason. Maybe it was 96".... Don't remember.
