Drilling for zerk fittings

Ok, ask for 9/16" fine thread flange bolts, 5" long. I need 6 of them. Flange nuts, too, if they have them. All in grade 8.

Oh Negative on that Ghost Rider. Sorry brother. called 4 of the big guys here. and it sure seems 9/16 in a flanged is not being made. one guy actually said 9/16 is like the redheaded step child. :haha:

Are you against a regular gr8 9/16ths unf bolt and flatwasher for some reason? that can be had much easier.

I've already been in the works with another member about this. Problem is, by the time the new sleeves get milled down, they're gonna be pretty damn thin. The o.d. of the sleeves I have here are 23/32". What do you think, too thin or not?

That's not thick enough but if you had sleeves made that are .750" OD with a clearance hole for a .625" bolt that would be thick enough and then have them made from stainless steel. You might even be able to get those sleeves into the bushings without having to mess with the ID of the bushings.

For about the past month or so, I've been IM'ing with another member and we were making plans and details to have him get me some SS sleeves made for these bushings.

Thing is, the bushings that came in today were on backorder for the last month. I've had the rear bushings all this time and SS sleeves would be very easy to make for them as they're already .75" o.d. sleeves utilizing the 5/8" bolts I already got for them.

Then I get the bushings today and find out they take a 9/16" bolt. Damn! I was hoping for 5/8" so I could have all same sized bolts, etc. The bushing holes are smaller than the rear bushing holes. Only way to get bigger sleeves/bolts into these bushings is to drill/ream out the bushings themselves and I'd rather not do that.

Somewhere, someplace has the 9/16" flange bolts I'm looking for. We just haven't found them yet.

I'm not against using regular bolts but flanged are my first preference.

Its like some here using ORD parts over DIY4x. You either favor one or the other, or both. Right now I'm at one instead of both on the bolts and flanged is my choice.

McMaster Carr has a 9/16 grade 8 X 5 in long NON flange listed in there web catalog.

I know, saw that, but still not my first choice.

there's a place in new york that can make those bolts, it just takes cubic money
Edit- I'm guessing 20 bucks or more each
