Driveline Vibration/Grind

Oh really...I didn't know that. Why would that cause it to break the housing?

Rubber flexes more than poly. Your motor will still rotate, causing stress at the now harder trans mount. Something in between will take the force.

Rubber ones are like less than $20 at parts store. Just try that first.

Glad I didn't get one yet. Thanks for the info. Probably gonna be a couple days until I can get it put in but with that and new u joints, I'm keeping my fingers crossed it solves the problem.

I have one that literally has like 2 trips to the dunes on it. But you probably want it before the weekend, and Idk how fast it would get to you. I went polly on everything.

Yeah I will just buy a new one, I won't have the time to mess with it until this weekend anyway. I definitely appreciate it though.

Well im not sure if you guys saw my post today but, when I was getting the driveshaft out today I inspected the t-case because it seemed unusally loose. There was only one bolt holding the t-case to the transmission. Also only one bolt one the trans mount. I spent today hunting down the correct bolts to mount it back, and got 3 of them back in and both trans mount bolts. Only problem now is the bottom drivers side bolt that mounts the t-case to transmission is a different size or either the threads are gone. Im not driving it until I get all 4 bolts in, so going back to Napa to try and get a bigger bolt and just hope it works. I also hope it didnt destroy anything while it was being driven with just one bolt hoding it in place.

Finally got everything somewhat together, replaced the bolts with grade 8 bolts and torqued them down. Only problem is the bottom drivers side bolt won't thread. I believe the threads are stripped out. Right now it just has three out of four bolts holding it on. Only thing I can think of to do is tap the threads, which will require me to pull the transfer case, and I can't do that at my apt. Hopefully I can just ride with the 3 for the time being until I can get to my buddy's garage next weekend.

Holy crap, now it is vibrating horribly when I brake hard. Going into work today I had to stop suddenly for some idiot pulling in front of me, and it made the loudest, worst vibration I've ever heard/felt.
