33x12.50 mt's on the factory rally wheels? Anyone else doing this tire combo? Some are saying it's not good others say im fine due to rim width... Opinions?
I know they'll fit lift wise but only got two rims to verify with that I won't be using unsure of backspacing on them could be offset from factory as their aftermarket

Awesome thanks all for the feedback! I know the tire sticker said 8.5-11 rims, but I felt like a lot of you guys ran em but all prior posts made it look like they were more trail only rigs. I'll go ahead and mount them up!

Ok throwing in a new option, wife says to get wheels and ditch the rallys... So procomp steel wheels for me! 15 by 8 or 15x10 for these 33x12.5 15s? Since now I really have the choice, I don't air down often at all for what I do and the trazer will be a cruiser than it will get to the trail but will still see frequent enough!

less chance of losing a bead with the 15x8

I like the look of the 10" more, but you have to be careful with backspacing.
3.75 will rub some at the back of the wheel opening. And a straight 5" will rub the tierod end I believe. Not sure where the sweet spot actually is.

With the 8" wheel it's not as big of a deal as long as it's not so deep that it hits the tierod

Alright so I ordered some 15x8 rc Steel wheels since I have a look I'm going for and wife gave the go ahead, I appreciate all you guys on the input, figured the 10s might be wider than I wanted... So hoping when they show up they'll look and drive how I'm hoping! Thanks again all

@Big Ray how were the 33x12.5’s on stock suspension, street driving? Rub at full lock and bumps when turning?
If I hit a curb hard at full lock they rub a bit until the suspension rebounds.
Then again, it has nearly 40 y.o. springs on it.
No problem at all if I ease into the curb.
I have new springs for it. 3 leaf version, 'burbs are heavy!

I put 10s on my Jeep when I was young and dumb. Had 33's on them. Took forever for them to get the tires to seat, and it didn't "look" right.

And you had 32x11.5’s on your k5, and no issue ever? I’m debating between 31’s, 32’s or 33’s lol. Stock old springs. Trying to avoid tinkering with the suspension. I could throw a zero-rate under the front, but would rather not mess with it

I ran 33x12.50x15's on my Rallys for a few years on my K10 and it's stock saggy springs and it was fine. The only place they rubbed was on the drag link at full right lock, and on the vertical part of inner rear fender at full stuff.
Of course not all 33's are created equal.
