Looks like about 11-12hr drive for me. Definitely doable depending on my work situation.

Got to finish my Dana 60 install and build a new roll cage. May have to make a few other upgrades if it looks like I'll get to go.

Was looking at the website for the area and rules state that special events would have to be approved by the recreation board. There are also rules pertaining to different types of orvs, like helmet usage, seat belts, etc. that would be important considerations.
 
Guess we just need to narrow down a time when a majority or large minority of our rigs are actually operational. Then we are on to something. Spring or fall or winter is ok with me, even summer is fine, a big meeting would be worth it regardless.
 
I think we would be alright as far as the special event notice, but would depend on how vehicles we would plan having attend. Also not sure what other activities we would want to have. I think we need to get a date then go on from there. I hear their board is easy going with hosting special events.
 
I know blazer bash is in the fall but my vote would still be for having the east coast bash in the fall, maybe later fall like about this time next year. But I reckon I'll be attending regardless of when it is.
 
I put a poll up...Didn't put one up for a place cause it looks like Harlan seem to be it.

I figured I would only pick one weekend for each month and tried to miss the holidays too.

Also not sure what the weather is normally during those months.....But were probably looking at wet.
 
I voted for June, the only thing we will have to watch is when they have the rock racing weekend there. If they keep the same time frame as thins year we will be ok. Theirs was towards the end of the month so we should be fine with the beginning. But I will keep an eye on the event dates for next year. Plus if we have it in June that gives me just a bit longer to get more done on the truck. :weld:

For weather April is sometimes cold sometimes nice. May Rain. June always a crap shoot.
 
June? Man I don't know about Harlan Ky but June in south Alabama is starting to get hot (high 80's to mid 90's).
 
Btw, I didn't mean for that to sound whiney, just pointing it out.

This is for Evarts KY...Keep in mind all the trails are higher up than this.
 
Yea its pretty nice here. Usually gets in the mid to upper 90's during July & August. Don't really see the triple digits except for the odd year. Like when I moved here back in 98 I think the whole summer was in the triple digits with no rains made for a bad summer working in an aluminum casting plant.
 
June would give me more time to get ready and temps don't look bad but what's the humidity like there?

Temps aren't too bad here in June either till you add in 500% humidity. Being up in the mountains I wouldn't think it would be too bad.
