Stock heads?

Man the love is thick in the air around here.

You want to waste money on a small block dump it in a 307. I’ve got the original from my Nova in the garage. Free to the first sob to show up for it.

Dave wants it

I want the 5 minutes of my life back, that I just wasted on reading a totally useless thread.
Well, if you would have found it sooner, it wouldn't have been so many pages to read!!
Ya gotta pay attention to what the cool kids and get in the loop sooner!
:rotfl:

The fact it took you 5 minutes to come to that conclusion really says more about you than us…
I was hoping for some cool info. But yes, knowing who started this thread and the other instigator, it is my fault not realizing that it would be full of useless information that would only make me dumber.

I have a life.

Yes stock heads. We didn't have the money to build it. We were lucky if we got all of the dirt out of it, before we put it back together.
Good old days!

Some actual data for the gnome

Dave an I used Heath’s app and found the compression to be lower than as advertised
1972 numbers

Cam and cylinder head part numbers are identical to the 350, as we suspected. So airflow numbers are same, roughly 180cfm in the intake
NHRA rates the 1972 400” at 265hp

If ya feel like wasting more of life’s valuable time there is a bunch of useless info and comments going on on that “305 or 307” thread too.
Apparently we’ve hit rock bottom on topics to discuss….

Look at it this way, it has been something to BS about and get/keep guys involved.
And nobody got upset! :saweet:

I still would rather build a 400 vs a 350. Cuz no replacement for displacement!!!

Guess it’s time to close up the forum then
