I've never been of the mind set of "Oh well, it's a lifted truck and it's gonna drive like crap on the street so I'll just live it with because that's just the way it is". That said, I've been playing with different homebrew suspension and steering mods for a few years now. I wanted a vehicle that's very capable both on and off road.
With the stuff I've done so far to my k5 I'm very happy with it's performance
(especially on the street). The suspension flexes just as well as without a track bar and I notice absolutely no difference in ride in bouncy offroad situations, only much better steering feel (tighter, more responsive).
Mainly, I did a track bar because I hated the "rubbery delayed action" steering feel on the road after doing crossover.
And thanks for the compliments.
