Gonna order up some Walker Evans Beadlocks for wheels.

Planning on either 37" or 40" MTR's - see how much trimming I need to do once I get the lift all done.

*** EDIT - Bought some slightly used 39.5 IROKS ***

If its not too much trimming I may just slap some 1" Zero Rates on and go with 40's - we will see

So what do you guys think about my rear springs and shackle angles?

Will some 56" springs fix my issue here?

And are 56" springs longer in the front or rear of the locating pin or the equal lengths?

Are you sure you put the shackle flip on the right side. They are offset so that they will work with 52"s on one side and 56"s if you swap them to the other side of the truck. Should fix that angle right up

edit- 56's have the pin in the middle IIRC

i see you wound up dropping the tank to get the shackle flip on. i was curious when you 1st started w/it and gas tank still in place, so you definitly have to drop the tank to put shackle flip on,huh!

I did the flip on my Bronco, with the tank in place. I just bought a flex rod with magnetic end, and worked slow.:doah:

F**ds and Chevys are different.:D

Mike

Not when it comes to the shackle flip. The dang tank still sits tween the rains, with about 2 inches of space. Ihad a full tank of gas, and not enough cans to empty the tank, so I had to get creative. BTW, my shackle angle looks about the same.

If the shackle is near vertical, then you have it installed correctly. With 52" springs the hanger is installed so that it points forward. You could always move the hanger forward some.

56" springs have an offset center pin. If you mount them with the long side rearward, the axle will stay in the same location. But you must flip the shackle hanger side-to-side so that it now points rearward

When I 1st put the ord shackle flip on my blazer, I did it with the tank in place. I also used a flexible magnet to fish the bolts through. It took awhile but its possible. Of course a month later I had to replace the fuel pump so I had to drop the tank anyways :doah:

And the build looks good so far!

Do you want to sell the old wheels? I'm looking for a set of those rally wheels.
