finally got some time to work on my neglected jimmy, 2" dom cage, 2000 caravan seat belts $11 a piece, 2010 tundra front seats $250, and tacoma rear $30, and about two weeks.

it is a sexy beast! made a skid plate bent on the sidewalk with a tundra and a very patient spotter. hope to get a press brake some day I never want to do that again. there is a 31 gal tank underneath there too I bought new for $90 for a 75 blazer, got creative with some 1/8 x 2 steel strap to hold it in and had to remove the rear crossmember to get it to fit, but not to worry the bumper i made basically does the same thing as the crossmember. forgot about the tailpipes I hacked out, got to do something about that.
I made the bumper extremely rigid to hold dual swingout system that bolts on and off the bumper. here is a pic of the system I make for 80 series landcruisers in my spare time, I use trailer spindles and custom made hubs from comp 4x4 or 4x4 labs, both are built around 3500lb trailer axles. they hold big tires very solidly and securely, not like the crap from china. made in USA baby!!!!

cage pics
tried to get the cage as close to the inside walls as I could, and follow lines as close as possible, not too bad for my first cage i must admit.... I was planning on adding more gussets and supports and tie it to sliders and to the frame, but sold her instead...The price i had to pay to keep living in Americas finest city
